Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Greek life is definitely a big deal at Rollins. A quarter of students at Rollins is involved with Greek life, which is a lot of students since the student body is so small. There are seven sororities and five fraternities on campus. Greek life is a great way to meet friends and get involved on and off campus. Fraternities and sororities have socials and formals, which are fun events that they look forward to. Greek life is not all about parties, though; fraternities and sororities do a lot of volunteer work, as well. Each Greek organization has a different philanthropy for which they do service work and try to raise money. Most Greeks are very loyal to their organization and consider fellow members to be like family.

Greek life is definitely a dominant force in the social scene at Rollins, but you don’t have to be a part of Greek life to have friends and be social. People in Greek organizations are friends with people in other Greek organizations and also non-Greeks, as well.

Amazing Experience

Greek Life at Rollins is amazing. Coming to college, I highly doubted I would join a sorority. I decided to go through recruitment anyway and was so happy I did. SOrorities at Rollins are so different than the stereotype. All of the sororities have different types of girls so there's no stereotypical "sorority girls." Fraternities throw most of the parties so if you're into that scene, I would definitely suggest rushing.

Personal

Being a private school, Rollins allows students to have a close relationship with their fellow Greek members. They also do a lot around the school for the entire campus and are still scene as friendly by non-Greeks.
