For those under 21 or without a fake ID, the party scene on campus revolves around the frat houses. Weekend and Wednesday nights, students flocks to their favorite frat house for a night of almost assured drama and fun. House parties are also a definite option. While some are better than others, most house parties at least offer free booze and a chance to mingle with friends around the keg. Be careful, though; many get broken up quickly due to the strict Winter Park police who have little else to do. By sophomore and junior year, some students get bored with the usual frat and house party scene and, after turning 21 or acquiring a fake, tend to lean more towards the myriad bars surrounding Rollins. One of the most popular bars, undoubtedly is Fiddlers, located within walking distance to campus.

Rollins is, of course, adjacent to the sprawling and activity-filled city of Orlando. Church Street downtown is the current hot spot for clubbing and has a variety of spots to suit personal tastes. Antigua attracts many Rollins students with its hot dance music, classy VIP section, and numerous stages for the willing to dance on. There is also a lot of hype concerning Paris Hilton’s club in Orlando. All in all, Rollins provides students with a variety of party options, whether you are looking for a rowdy frat party with close friends or a crowded, exhilarating club full of the diverse Orlando crowd.

Before going to parties, everyone pre-games in their rooms so they are drunk when they get there. Then they drink even more at the party. So basically, it doesn’t matter what the party is like; the students are mostly focused on just getting wasted.

I normally leave campus on the weekends, so I’m not really familiar with the parties. But there are several good clubs, such as Tabu, Roxy, and Antigua.

The parties on campus are usually sorority or fraternity related. They usually get broken up within a couple hours by Campus Safety. Bars and clubs off campus are much better. Downtown is the best place to go since there is a lot of variety and discounts on certain nights of the week.

The parties on campus are always pretty good, especially for those who aren’t 21 yet. Cowboys is my favorite club, and the clubs downtown are alright, but there are some creepy people.

I guess that some of the parties get pretty wild. People have fallen out of windows, fallen off of balconies, gone into shock while swimming across the lake . . . all this year. There has been one huge party on campus so far called ‘graffiti.’ Everyone wears a white shirt, and other people draw all over them. All I know is that there are a lot of drunk people on campus when there’s a party.
