Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

The general consensus among students is that Rollins has a way of growing on you. Most students who are skeptical about whether they made the right choice or not by attending Rollins realize after a semester or so that they wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Rollins seems like another world, and the lifestyle at Rollins is far from realistic, as it can be very hard to grow used to. Perhaps it is difficult because everyone seems to be the same and everyone appears to be rich and to wear designer clothes. After a while, students learn to love the "country club" vibe that Rollins gives off, and they appreciate the beautiful campus and beautiful people. Rollins is such a small school, and some students consider its size a good thing, while others find it one of Rollins’s flaws. For academics, its small size is ideal. Students receive much more attention from professors and far more one-on-one help than they would at a larger university. Socially, Rollins being small is a bad thing. After a year at Rollins, everyone knows everyone, and gossip is hard to escape. At a school like Rollins, students really have to watch what they do and never make a mistake because gossip spreads like wildfire.

Rollins has a good reputation in the South, and it provides students with a great education. Not only do the connections you make at Rollins help you in the future, but they last a lifetime. Rollins provides students with wonderful opportunities and experiences. If you are looking for a small liberal arts school located on the water with interesting classes and brilliant professors, then Rollins is the perfect match.

Unforgettable Experiences

Winter Park is a historic town with a sense of past, present and future. The college admires the word community to a great extent. Rollins creates many opportunities to get involved in the community such as amazing volunteer events that have many individuals young and old cooperate to improve a beautiful park. There are many social events such as talent shows, involvement fairs, and events on campus such as a free day where everyone goes to the beach. What makes the school unique is that it's a small college that allows you to feel at home, but it provides more opportunities than imaginable when first entering college. If I had the choice to repeat the college choice experience, I would choose Rollins again. Amazing and beautiful on the outside as it is in the inside. A+++

Pretty Good Academics, Hate the General Student Population

There are reasons why it's nicknamed "Rolly Colly Country Club". It is a pretty 'rich' school, if you will. Most people went to boarding school up north, are preppy, snobby, and have lived a sheltered life. They are also generally not very open to new cultures and different people.

Because of its small school population and class sizes, and faculty/student ratio, academics are quite good. One can really excel and get full support from the right professors.(Most)teachers really do care, and they can really take you under their wing and mentorship.

No One Ever Leaves

There is a reason Rollins alumni are hard to get rid of. It is an incredible well rounded school and students love it.
