Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The weather at Rollins is normally beautiful. People often think seasons are not present in Florida, but this is far from the truth when it comes to Winter Park. The climate is hot and humid in the summer months and cools down during the winter months. Rain is very unpredictable, especially in the springtime. The sun could be shining one minute, and the next minute, it’s raining cats and dogs! Students can almost always be found sunbathing in between classes, either at the pool or the beach.

Weather at Rollins is definitely a draw to people who live in colder climates. Those who love warm weather will definitely love Rollins College. At times, students find it challenging to go to school in such ideal conditions because it makes it that much more difficult to go to class when your friends are laying out by the pool or swimming in the lake. Students have trouble sitting in the library and getting work done when they want to be outside soaking up the sun. Some students schedule classes in the morning or late afternoon so they can spend the afternoon outdoors. Many even bring work to the pool. Why not read a few chapters while getting a tan?

It's Always Sunny in Florida

Just like the show, it's always sunny in Florida which allows students, especially Northerners, to walk around in the crisp, Winter air wearing shorts and flip-flops.
