College Prowler Take
The weather at Rollins is beautiful; almost always hot and perfect for sun tanning at the pool. Usually it’s at least 80 degrees or warmer, with December and January being the only exceptions. Even in the winter months, however, it doesn’t drop very low. Like most of Florida, Winter Park is humid, making it feel even hotter at times. Rain is also unpredictable, particularly during the spring months. It can be bright and sunny one moment and, suddenly, be a downpour the next, so have an umbrella handy.
The tropical weather is certainly a draw for the college. Students can spend most of the year wearing skirts, shorts, and tank tops. For many from the Northeast, it is a welcome change to not have to worry about snow or bundling up before going outdoors. The weather makes people want to be outdoors a lot of the time, and the pool is always crowded for this reason. Those who worship sun and crave saying goodbye to all their winter hats and gloves will surely fall in love with Rollins’s tropical climate.

The weather for most of the year is 85-or-more degrees and humid. There are a few weeks in December and January that require long pants and sweaters, but for the most part, shorts, T-shirts, skirts, and sandals are sufficient. |
