Only had a few meals on campus, its the average student dining that you'd expect. If you buy food on campus put money on your student card, you'll get out of taxes that way ha.

Basically depends on what you can afford. If you can live in the loop/ South Loop, you'll have a traditional apt, and great location but at $900 for a studio or ~1600 for a one bedroom. There are some "off campus housing" in the loop, its basically the UC but a different company owning them. There is a lot more student friendly apts near uic and loyola.

Start ASAP. They keep on changing the amount of aid I'm supposed to receive and finals are in two weeks. Major pain in the behind. Before i applied i spoke to the FAO to make sure I would be classified as independent, BEFORE i applied. They said yes. After i accepted admissions, finished all the paperwork needed they said that I was not classified independent, not I have a huge financial burden. To be frank I probably wouldn't of gone here if I had know that would of happened.

Not sure how else to say it but you're in downtown Chicago, everything is here. If the city life is for you, you'll love it. Just be prepared for the wind.

Can't really complain other than the options for classes is pretty small just because there isn't a lot of people majoring in it. So it makes sense. You get to learn from great, passionate professors that want you to do well in class as well when you graduate. The workload is not bad, its what you would expect.

One thing I don't like about the registration process is having to have and advising meeting to receive a pin to be able to add classes. I understand its to make sure the students get advised, but its a bit of a pain sometimes. Professors so far have been pretty good quality, have not had any that I haven't liked. There are places you can get help with any area of the general areas, and professors are usually pretty willing to help when you are in your major courses.

You're in the loop, you'll have a good amount of places to eat within a good radius from campus. Some places have student discounts. Compared to other places downtown, you can still find fairly priced places to eat.

Everything is pretty good. My only complaint is working with the student accounts and financial aid offices, its difficult to get a straight answer at times. The class sizes are nice and small so you get to know your professors well, only issue is that classes are cut because there are so few students enrolled. That is a little frustrating because your options of classes reduce significantly, especially for majors that are not that big.

I don't live on campus but I have only heard of good things. The new building is beautiful but students still love the UC dorms because of the diversity of the students.

We have to park either at the pay stations on the street, or in the private parking at either the hotel across the street or further away for cheaper prices. RU does validate parking though.
