Overall the professors are pretty good until you move farther up in the academics and the classes get tougher. The instructors teaching the more difficult subjects (Chemistry 2) need to be more interested in helping their students and teaching them instead of bullying them and embarrassing them.

I had been trying everything I could to be accepted into my schools radiology program after 5 years of bending over backwards, I finally got accepted at a different school. The whole process is very frustrating and if I hadn't gotten accepted at another school I would have given up next year and switched my major to something I didn't really want to do.

I came to my school because it was close by, fairly inexpensive, and to complete my studies. I also applied at Rowan because they have a Radiology Technician program. This program needs to be made easier to get into because I have been trying for 5 years to get accepted and finally got accepted at a different school.

I honestly don't know anything about post-grad services at my school.

There's a lot of diversity at my school, but I notice a variety of ages. There always seem to be quite a bit of older people at our school.

I rate my school very low in this department because I haven't experienced any of their "social scene". I am not even sure if we have a social scene.

For the most part, if I need to miss a class on a test or exam day, the faculty is fairly good about letting me reschedule my exam, take it with another instructor, or in the testing center.

Some days I get perfect wireless connection, other days I can't find any signal. It's hit or miss.
College Senior 2013-11-08T20:16:24Z
The tutoring center is very helpful, but there are a limited number of tutors who can help with tougher classes such as chemistry 2. I have to make sure there is a tutor who is able to help with chemistry 2 I drive to the tutor center.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I haven't qualified for financial aid since I have been enrolled because when I enrolled originally, I was living with my parents. Now they live in a different state, I am on my own and I am still unable to be eligible for financial aid. So I end up paying full price for tuition out of pocket on a waitresses pay.

The online classes offered at Rowan Cabarrus Community College are helpful to students with a limited schedule who must have a job while enrolled in school.

This campus doesn't have have much to offer for activities nor is there an athletic center. They have a library and that is about all they offer.

There are plenty of classrooms with computers I would say there is 1 out of 5 classrooms with computers. You can only print in the library and the computer will restart while your working on them. The speed isnt that bad but no one seems to know the internet password even my instructors.

I feel that we have a very diverse and unique group of students and staff here at RCCC. I enjoy the different perspectives and think that we have an accepting atmosphere.

The SGA offers a lot of different clubs and groups to join. There is always some group sponsoring an event on campus. We do not have many athletic offering here, but there is not much demand for it either.

The career advisors will help you in any way possible. They offer Myers Briggs testing and other tests as well to help you determine the correct career path to follow.

The network is a little slow at times while on campus, but other than that everything usually works they way it is supposed to. The school recently implemented an Eco-Print program this semester so that students are able to print documents on any campus just by swiping their ID card at the printer. The fees are paid with our campus fees. We are able to print 300 pages of document without paying. This saves us time and precious money.

The only thing I would improve about the academic experience is e-mail communication. This varies from instructor-to-instructor, but I am overall pretty satisfied with my school's academic experience.

RCCC has a few clubs pertaining to my Computer Science major, one mainly being the Electronics Club. The curriculum is great for a community college, and transfer assistance/courses are also in abundance.

Some professors have difficulties communicating with students, but overall I prefer online courses at RCCC.

Flexible class times, wish there were more clubs

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid department is helpful and competent. They walk you through every step of the process if needed and make sure they get you all set up within plenty of time.

Half of the instructors are excellent and the other half are mediocre. The technology budget is terrible and the equipment is bottom of the line. Courses are a bit tricky to actually get when you need them. Online classes are great.
College Sophomore 2013-05-08T16:23:43Z
As with any course, some are good and some are poor. On a whole, RCCC has a very competent staff who teach the online classes. They respond well to students and always allow for interaction with our peers. I think the biggest difference in online classes vs. the traditional is time management. There is no set class time and it is easy to procrastinate. The workload seems to be equal to the traditional classes, though like in all situations everybody does it differently. No 2 teachers are the same.

I don't use any of the school computers, but the network is excellent. I do all my printing at home, so I'm not sure about how well that works. The wireless network has been down twice for a total of about 20 minutes in the two years I've attended this school.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
