Newark, is not safe at all, students cars are always broken in to. There are also a lot of arm robbers, where student’s cell phone and money are taken.

Weather does not affect me personally since I live on campus and don't have to commute. Otherwise, weather is accommodated for.

I'm not really to informed on the Greek life, but only because I choose to be.

Everyone here is so different so there is no other way to be except accepting. We all accept each other no matter what ethnicity or culture we come from.

New York City is just twenty minutes away with the train so there are plenty of things to do and see around Rutgers Newark. There is also the NJPAC where you can see live performances in the arts. Finally, if you enjoy a good Devils game, you can head over to the Prudential Center where they host hockey games for entertainment and sport.

Unaware of the Greek life on campus

It is my second college; I have a bachelors degree from UCONN. I compare everything to UCONN and to me nothing is as comparable. This is also a satellite campus to Rutgers University and it does not have that campus feel like I would like.

Health & Safety:
Our campus is un Newark. It is kind of safe during the day but at night not at all. I need the police to escort me to my car. I even cannot hold my phone when walking

Greek life is an opportunity to socialize. The sororities throw parties and organise very interesting events. They are well active in my campus. People who join greek life are viewed as pretty fun

I am in the Master's program for nursing. So far this is my first semester; there was an orientation offered for new incoming students but it was mainly in a classroom, we were given a folder and lots of paperwork. The speakers that came in were pretty good, however it would of been nice to get a tour or the campus and a little more guidance on how get better oriented with the school. I feel a little "lost". But the workload, curriculum and the facilities all seem good so far.

Newark is not the safest town. The campus itself is very secure, but as for the town it's located in, not so much. Venturing off campus can be very dangerous.

The shuttles are very convenient if you need to get to or from Kearny or Harrison. However, they are not really needed around campus, everything is within walking distance.

The freshman dorms are actually some of the nicest I've seen. They are very spacious. The food, on the other hand, is not the best. Also, it's important that you don't travel far off campus, because it's not the safest area.

This is my first semester at Rutgers University. I need more time to give an opinion.

Still working on financial aid. the staff at the school is not very helpful. Have to call to confirm every detail. They are not forthcoming with information.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
