Interviews & Information Sessions

Call the Visitors Center at (916) 278-4933 on any weekday from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Pacific time. The Visitors Center is located in Sacramento Hall near the front of school on the bottom floor. The staff has general information about campus and can get people into contact with assorted personnel for answers to more specific questions. There’s also literature about Sac State, and campus tours begin in the lobby of the Visitors Center. To speak with Admissions Counseling or to set up a session, call (916) 278-3901 Monday–Friday from 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m. Pacific time. If you call this number, however, you’ll have to deal with an automated menu. Listen carefully if you want to speak to an actual human being. When the laundry list of options first comes up, press 9, then press 8 for the Admission Counseling and Reentry Services. Press 9 to speak with someone and set up a meeting.

Campus Tours

Campus tours run most weekdays and depart at various times between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. You can check the availability by going to the campus tours Web site and seeing what times and dates are open. Tours are typically one-hour guided tours given by a student or counselor. Individual tours take one person with up to five guests. The school tries to keep group tours composed of 25 people or less. Group tours must be scheduled at least a week in advance, but individual tours can be scheduled about 24 hours before. Self-guided tours are available as well, and printable maps for these excursions can be uploaded from the campus tours Web site.
