I Love Saint Joe's.
The number one thing that I'm glad I did was get involved. There's so much to do and so many people to meet, and it makes the entire transition so much easier if you get involved. We have a ton of student run organizations that do a lot for campus (Student Senate, for example) and it's not hard at all to have an impact on life here.
School is definitely manageable, but you have to work to do really well. Professors are, as a general rule, easy to get in touch with, but office hours are pretty unreliable unless you schedule it with them in advance. And most professors really do want to help, so they're more than willing to do what they can if you're struggling.
We just redid the core curriculum, which made it a lot easier to double major or minor. There are still a bunch of required classes, but it's nothing too heavy.
Basketball's very big here, and we have a lot of support for the team at the games. They're a ton of fun to go to, and it's an awesome way to see a lot of the people on campus rallying together.
The small school feel is really nice beacuse it's small enough that you know a bunch of people but still have many more to meet.
There isn't really any diversity. Predominately, everyone's a white, rich kid from either Jersey or Pennsylvania. But, that being said, many people are really nice and friendly, and it's not hard to get to know people at all. Service is huge here, and there are a ton of service opportunities; from weekly service, to service leaning classes, to service trips over fall, winter, spring and summer breaks.
Living right near the city is spectacular. We still have a campus (unlike Penn and Drexel) and it takes less than five minutes to get into the city.
This is a fantastic school if you want a small school with a ton of things to do, and you're willing to work hard.
