The campus does not to seem to have a night life, according to me, who has not been at the campus for a night class.

Nothing really interesting for me to say here. I take a bus there most of the times, paying $4 per trip from the school and to home.

There is nothing unusual about the Greek Life at this campus, just that there are many groups with three letters of the Greek alphabet that differ from each other.

The school has many different things that are in its buildings, which can make each area of the campus unique in appearance.

There is a great variety of Majors to choose from at this college, and most of them require hard work and effort, which can reward you very well if you manage to complete them.

St. Joseph's College has multiple building, each with there own interesting values and qualities. There's a library, an athletic center, a technology building, and last and most importantly, a main hall where most of the classrooms are.

Many times, there will be cars all over the place, and there will not be much someone can do to park their car efficiently.

Course work is really interesting here, and it is very important for you to do as much of it as possible for the professors.

Guys & Girls:
Some times, the students at this school can be strict to you, and can look to getting you into a downfall. But most times, they are really nice overall.

Sometimes the classes can be tough, but the quality of the classes overall are good.

There's not much I can say here, but I believe all the people I saw were quite friendly to me on the campus.

I am double majoring in Early Childhood Education and Speech Pathology. For Speech, a thesis is not required, but for Early Childhood there most certainly is. It is actually great to be an Early Childhood major. The school requires you to complete a certain number of hours of fieldwork before your student teaching. Each class can be complicated, but all of the teachers have been through everything and know exactly what has to be done. Most of them even teach or work with children while teaching us. The workload can be rough, but most certainly worth it in the end. I feel completely prepared to be in front of a classroom, and feel like I can own it because of my professors.

For a commuter school, transportation is pretty good. Yes, there are no buses readily available to take you places, but that is because everyone can have a car on campus because it is a commuter school. However, there are buses available for parking. Parking is not incredible at St. Joe's, but there is a church parking lot that is used, and there is a bus provided to drop the students off from the lot to the campus, and vice versa.

There isn't any housing at St. Joseph's College. It is a commuter school. However, any student is welcomed there for as long as the campus is open, and there are many options of where to stay, study, workout, eat, and more.

The Off-Campus Dining is incredible near St. Joe's. Right across the street are a ton of shopping malls, that have a number of restaurants and what not. There is a great pizza place in the Staples shopping center, along with a Swirls and Twirls which offers a student discount certain months when you show a student ID. Also, there is a Wendy's, a Burger King, Subway, and a Taco Bell extremely close to the campus. The options, and prices are great, and there is always something available.

For me, I received a decent amount of Financial Aid, and a pretty nice Scholarship. However, it was a little tricky. Some of the forms were a little complicated, but jut be sure to keep copies of everything and you will be fine. Even if there were issues the ladies in the office were extremely helpful.

The dining options around Saint Josephs college are your typical fast food restaurants. Theres Wendy's, McDonalds, Taco Bell, as well as Subway. These restaurants do offer a cheap and satisfying menu but when it comes to breaks in-between classes, the dining on main street is alot better than the dining we have near the campus.

Health & Safety:
I have never felt unsafe on Saint Josephs campus. There is always security around, as well as when night classes let out, they are patrolling around the non-lit parking lots making sure students get to their cars safely.

Health & Safety:
The health and safety room for our campus is really a good one for your health needs, but it isn't available ALL the time, which is what I would like to see.

The varsity sports coverage seen for our college is as good as it gets, there's no doubt that it can't really be viewed in any greater way.
College Sophomore 2013-03-08T02:13:43Z
There's goodness and a great variety of edibles that you can apply to your food! I've tried out only a handful of what is offered, but I would like to have some more... and see if there really is something meaningful to the dining in Patchogue.

Computer Labs are available in every building except for the Athletic Center and there is never a shortage of computers so you never have to wait around for someone to log off. Computer run on the latest version of windows and computers contain all software necessary to complete homework in any class they run. (ex. to program in java, computers have Jcreater installed, to program in VB they have microsoft VB installed)

There are students of all colors shapes and sizes in the Saint Josephs Long Island Campus. It is a Catholic private school and the do offer religious studies as a major with nuns teaching some of those classes, however they also offer courses on Islamic and other foreign beliefs and in no way try to force beliefs on any of the students. Political beliefs or sexual orientation have never caused any conflict between students that I have witnessed however I'm sure there are people everywhere that hold prejudices in their heart and simply conceal them. However the atmosphere seems to be very diverse and accepting.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
