The overall experience at Saint Leo University is decent. You make friends, have fun, go to school, and live in the sun—although the small size does limit some of the resources normal college students have access to. There are no big football games with huge tailgating parties, and you won't see a big school band; nor is SLU the place for your typical social scene run by Greek life. The location is quaint, simple, and actually quite beautiful, but there just isn't a whole lot going on in the area. Yet, at the same time, you are only a 25-minute drive from the city of Tampa. Most students fall in love with the Bay atmosphere while they are here, and the roaring tourist economy of Orlando is only an hour away.
Your experience at this school will be greatly enhanced if you have a car. It's just not the place you can find everything you need within walking distance, and public transportation down here hardly exists. The school is small enough that you can get to know most of the people you will be spending your college career with, classes are not too difficult, and most the the professors really do care about how you perform. All in all, there is fun to be had at Saint Leo, but you may have to find it on your own. If you are the type of person that is outgoing and likes to create your own fun, then this school may be your place. If you're somebody that would rather sit back and let all the fun come to you, then I would suggest choosing a bigger school.

The reason I have to this school was because of the small classroom sizes. My teachers actually know me by my name, and they have time to answer your questions.
