Once the Light Go Out

Once the lights go out, people pack up and head down to Ybor on Fridays and weekends. Thursdays everyone heads out to the Bulls Club in Tampa. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are dedicated to Czar in Ybor. Wednesdays and Saturdays are usually Basketball nights where we cheer our boys and girls on in their games.

The Tampa Bay area is really good offering student discounts

Library

The facilities are very nice. The library is a serene place to study

The Diversity Issue

There is some diversity, but it's mostly rich, white kids from the suburbs getting out of the snow more than anything else. Sure, there are the international students, but they keep to them selves.

I Am Online

I am a COL (center on line) student so I am not sure about being around or living there.

Education

work load fine, but didn't address things that would happen in classroom. More focus on theory than practice.

Bored

Nightlife is for students who are 21 or older. Ybor City is the only pulse around this place. Also the only thing bearing a resemblance to a nightlife around here. ( I was born and raised in a city, so the difference is painfully obvious.)

The club crowd includes 30+ year olds, not just the regular crowd of 20's and tweens who managed to slip in past the bouncer. (Chances are high that if you are female, you will be grinded on by some gross 30+ year olds.)

If you can't find a DD , a ride to get there or are lacking clubbing clothes, just pool your money with some friends and buy a bottle. There you've created an Insta-Party .

Slim to None

As a freshman student, I thought that 80% of my tuition would've been financial aide, but it was not meant to be. A couple of months into the school year my parents got a fee for half of my tuition, when my advisor told me explicitly that i would get around 80% of my tuition payed. Overall the financial aide at this university is a JOKE.

Online Education

Online degree, ease of use, learn more than in traditional classrooms.

You're in a Rural Area...

There's really not much around. On the up side it forces you to make friends with the people that live on campus with you. Plus if you really want to go out, Tampa's not too far away and its got some pretty nice bars and clubs (18 and under thursday nights). Next problem is finding a DD

Much Better Than Other Schools!!!

I'm at a larger university now and....FREE PRINTING IN LIBRARY...there's really no point in metioning the rest. It's pretty standard!

They Try to Help Out the Best They Can

It is not necessarily a smooth process, but they will try their best to find as much financial aid available and they will also work with you on payment plans to get you through the completion of your degree.

Mixed Feelings

Overall, Saint Leo hasn't been too bad. I really enjoy the classes and my teachers. I get really good grades I wouldn't be able to get at other schools. I have mixed feelings because I find the school way too small and theres nothing fun that is close enough.

My School

its a realy relaxed campas. small but that just helps with the comunity feel of everything. i love to go sit out by the lake and sunbathe or even just read a good book. my friends and i even go out to the lake on the weekends to get away and relax. its realy safe and amazxing here.

I Love It Here

I have never realy felt un safe. hell i feel safer here than at home. the security gards are helpful and realy nice. working ewith the theatre my friends and i are normaly at selby tell all hours of the night and the security gards came by every few hours to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything.

Off Campus Housing

There is a lot of houses near by that are managable for students, and apartments as well.

School

Its what you make of it here. A lot of people do a lot of the same things. The gym has been re- done and is very nice. the pool are is nice and clean and also a lot of fun to hang out by.

Bars & Clubs

We find a lot of ways to keep us busy including bon fire parties, clubs, and bars.

Food

There are many places to eat. The tavern and On-Q are within walking distance. There are also many places to eat for fairly cheap in dade city.

Parking

A parking decal cost 50 dollars, if you get to school after 9:30 good luck finding a spot, if you do find one its most likely on top of a grassy hill that is the farthest point from classes. A security officer once told me that if everyone that had a decal showed up for classes there would not be sufficient space to host all the cars...So where does that 50 dollars go?

Drug Scene

There are not many heavy drug users at Saint Leo University. Alcohol is the biggest activity, there is no sense of peer pressure, but drunks can still be apart of the socialscene if you are looking hard enough for them.

Greek Life

Greek Life is kind of a joke at this school. There is no greek housing. The people who are in a fraternity and sorority are kind of freaks. They think they are big, but by non-Greeks and athletes they are a complete joke.

Campus Safety

The security on campus is very strong. I feel very safe on campus. The security guards are very nice if you need their help.

St. Leo

There is not much to do in town. However, Tampa is a short distance away with many attractions.

Can Be Slow

At times the financial aid process can take forever, it is even worse when you have to go to classes at the same time.
