I love going to this school, it is the best school i could ask for. Everyone is totally nice and the staff actually care about the students going here. the only complaint i have is the finanical aid department, which can be a pain sometimes.

The academics offered are pretty typical, there are no out of the ordinary majors or classes really unless they are in your major.
College Junior 2013-11-06T20:47:04Z
The staff in the History department are excellent, but the choices for classes can be a bit dull. Only occasionally does an interesting class come and then it gets full pretty quick.

There are a lot of options to live off campus, but you cannot do so till your Junior year.

I love the dry campus. The public safety is very proactive about trying to make sure that people adhere to this, especially those underaged.

I love that it's possible for me to double major in social work and criminal justice with lots of opportunities for internships.

Guys & Girls:
This small school feel helps to keep people close, but gossip runs rampant.
College Junior 2013-09-12T18:34:37Z
The school has the more popular majors for students, but when it comes to out of the box ones there aren't that much in diversity. Most students don't complain about but if they want a major that isn't offered here they usually switch to a different school

The strictness on campus is very noticeable, especially if you live on campus. The people who live in the dorms get cracked down on all the time. With living off campus I usually hear about it through friends.

Lacey/Olympia is a very fun place to be in. There are places to shop within walking distance of the school. Usually there is something either happening in Lacey or in downtown Olympia that is fun to go to.

The Campus Life program puts on safe events for students to go to. Other than that people who can go off campus to a bar and stuff usually end up doing that. If people go to a party off campus they usually take the city bus which is usually a bummer since it doesn't run that late. You don't hear about parties that much unless you live on campus.

It's a fairly small cafeteria, but the variety is pretty good.
College Junior 2013-09-07T22:48:49Z
Small school so inter-school transport really isn't an issue.

At Saint Martin's University you'll meet a wide variety of people; old, young, foreign, local, theatrical, and athletic. The school caters to this diversity with athletic events, a conversation partner program for visiting students from other countries, open casting calls from the Arts department for plays, and lunches for commuter and non-traditional students.

The school is right on a bus line and near a transit station, making life a bit simpler when it comes to late-night work snack and grocery shopping. The school also provides students with free local bus rides, which is thoroughly appreciated.

Athletics is an important feature at Saint Martin's University. Student athletes clearly work hard for the title and the rest of the student community understands that because they provide a lot of support. Home games are very energetic, with pep rallies, raffles, and team supporting activities.

There are plenty of computers in the library and classrooms available for student use. There were rare instances where the network was down, but they never lasted long.

It is interesting to have Catholic monks, in full black habit, on campus. They teach classes and have responsibilities that allow students to interact with them on a daily basis. I am not Catholic, but it has been an awesome experience learning about a previously mysterious religion and a great adventure getting to know the monks of SMU.

There is a great REC center with a weight room, track, and space for sports like volleyball and basketball.

Health & Safety:
There are panic buttons located around campus that a student can push if they feel they are in danger. The campus is well lit at night and the security office will escort people who request it.

I live off campus but when I have been in the dorm halls they seem pretty nice. From what I have heard it just all depends who you live with and who you live around. The only complaint is the cost of housing.
College Junior 2013-07-09T17:47:27Z
There are a lot of choices around the campus, but unless you have are willing way to travel ten minutes away the choices become very limited fast and become boring.
College Senior 2013-07-08T21:26:40Z
The only drug that seems to be readily available on campus is Marijuana, which is now legal in Washington State anyway, even if it's not allowed on campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
