I have never seen an off campus house for saint marts, so I have no comment about them.

I don't know much about off-campus housing, unfortunately. Most students live on campus and love it. But there are a few seniors that go live off campus and enjoy that too. It depends on what you like.

South Bend has really cheap housing and with four universities, it's a real college town. There's plenty of housing. Campus is extremely easy to get to from any apartments and I've never heard of any safety problems off campus.

The town has a lot to offer and there are homes everywhere, plus everything is very close by like grocery stores, mall, movie theaters, etc.

Starting with my class, the class of 2014, all SMC students are required to live on campus for 3 years, meaning that you can't have you own apartment until senior year. This is annoying, however, Notre Dame requires their students to live on campus for at least 2 years and oftentimes many students live on campus for 3 or 4. The positive to this is that as a student, you dont have to worry about cooking for yourself, cleaning, buying toiletries, etc. Living in the dorms for so long may seem annoying but everyone else on campus has to do it, so it doesn't seem much like a nuisance. Also, there is a senior building on campus called Opus Hall, and there are also lots of really nice apartments surrounding SMC (might need a car though, they can be a little too far for walking).
Sorry, there are no reviews.
