Salisbury University's homepage proclaims the school as "A Maryland University of National Distinction," and rightly so. For the past dozen years, SU has been ranked as one of the top universities not only in the state of Maryland, but also in the country. Students at Salisbury are attracted to the relatively small class sizes that afford them personal attention from professors, as well as the availability of other academic resources, such as computers. In addition, SU has a great financial aid and scholarship program, which, coupled with the modest fees, makes college more affordable to a larger number of students. Together, the available academic resources and financial aid options make Salisbury a very attractive institution, especially for those planning on careers in education or business, two of SU's strongest programs.

In addition to the academic advantages, the biggest draw of Salisbury is the social atmosphere. Every day is a chance to meet someone new. It is not uncommon for students to simply sit down at an occupied table in the Commons and introduce themselves. Furthermore, the many parties that take place on the weekends also give students the chance to meet a large number of fellow students. Also, SU holds a large number of social events throughout the year (like comedians, movies, dances, and speeches) that brings the campus community together. Finally, the large number of clubs and organizations allows students to get involved in the local community and enjoy experiences with others who share their passions. All in all, Salisbury University is an institution that pushes students to do their best in the classroom, but with a relaxed atmosphere that makes the college experience wholly enjoyable.

Parking

It's hard to find a spot, but parking is close to all the buildings and dorms as long as your not in the Freshman lot. They ticket everyone if you park where your not suppost to.
