There seems to be some tension between guys and girls at Samford. As stated in the "Hookups or Relationships?" section, many people expect to find their wife or husband at Samford, and this may explain why guys are often shy and reserved around girls. Not every Samford boy is like this, of course, and the really fun ones are comfortable with just being friends. These are the ones who hang out in groups from various walks of life, not just the pretty blonde girls.
Sometimes, it seems that guys can afford to be jerks because there are plenty of other girls they could flirt with, thanks to the vast majority of girls on campus. They often act conceited because they know they can always find a date. Girls tend to swarm around the good-looking guys, feeding their already inflated egos. Samford needs more boys who are down-to-earth and willing to be friends with girls—no strings attached.
