Greek life is not that present.

In a new and upcoming part of town where there are plenty of fun bars and lounges

Samuel Merritt provides hand on experience for nursing students ranging from simulation labs to clinical rotations in the hospital. The mission statement of the school is what caught my attention which is to education highly skilled and compassionate healthcare providers who can attend to a diverse and underserved community. My school provides free clinics and also goes on medical missions to other countries, providing free medical care.

The school provides hybrid courses which saves the cost of gas and is very convenient because its off highway 99N. There is numerous ways of transportation around Sacramento.

It is a nursing school, we don't have any sports teams

Comfortable places to lounge. Somewhat modern building. Can feel like a second home if you get along with the students. I can be a fun place to study or get together and chat
College Senior 2013-08-23T03:50:36Z
There is a large variety of places to eat. Almost any type of food you want you can get in the bat area.
College Senior 2013-08-23T03:48:40Z
Convenient when you don't have time to leave campus. The campus is near some pretty good places to eat. Cafeteria is a good place to eat and study when there is no extra time for leaving campus.

Social scene is typical of a school area, studying, eating, or chatting. Facilities are new, modern, clean (very important), and inviting. Enough seating for everyone there at one time. I have never seen over crowding.

Professors are very knowlegable and are current registered nurses. The curriculum is tough and the workload is ridiculous, but it's all knowledge we need to become a nurse one day.

SMU is not like a regular campus. It's basically a hospital.
Recent Alumnus 2013-07-23T03:55:37Z
Since SMU is a medical centered university, there are no sports or athletics on campus. The university gym is pretty sad as well.

As a nursing student at SMU, I feel that the professors are very skilled and very qualified at teaching future nurses. Students have access to the teachers when needed. The only downside is waiting to be placed into preceptor facilities.

There's more than enough spaces in the parking garages at the school, but the $120 parking fee is a bit much.

Student to teacher ratio is balanced, allowing students to recieve help when needed.

I have not explored other transportation options than driving my car, but parking is free and plentiful at the Sacramento campus. Living options are close by and I have friends that ride bikes to campus.
College Senior 2013-05-02T12:10:44Z
Free Parking and no hassle to find a parking spot.

It is spring time moveing into summer and the weather has been really nice so far. The sun has been out every day since orientation and the temperature is warm but not too warm.

The university is very well-known and respected. Their programs are highly recommended by recent graduates and professionals.
College Senior 2013-03-25T20:26:45Z
They are very helpful in providing information about how to get to and from campus. They encourage carpooling to clinical sights.

Typical Bay Area weather. Sunny some days, overcast on others. But always bearable. Just make sure to bring a jacket just in case.

I have not had a chance to experience this, and therefore cannot give an opinion.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
