Getting classes is way too complicated and stressful. I chose this school because of the price and the small class sizes but now I am realizing that every time I register for classes the ones I absolutely need are full or waitlisted while classes that are meaningless for transfer credit are wide open.

Southwestern has a lot of off the grid type of people. Many of the students dress weirdly and keep to themselves at all costs. As someone who is an extrovert and very friendly, this campus drives me crazy because almost no one is like me. There are also a few couples who make other students feel uncomfortable while they roll around on top of each other on the grass in the quad.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Southwestern has a very cheap tuition compared to San Diego State, where many of my friends are attending. Although the cost of tuition is not a problem for my family to afford I feel that I did not get any information about where I could get financial aid. Not knowing where I could get help I simply opted out from applying to any scholarships or financial aid programs.

I'm a biology major and the workload as a science major is tremendous. Having to transfer in a two year time period is nearly impossible because of how much courses are required to take just to transfer. Although it is a tremendous amount of work it is expected if students want to become future doctors but having to devote so much time into these labs and science classes takes a great deal of time so it's hard to juggle school and work at times. Classes I've been taking have been related to my major and is expected to have tricky questions but I'm definitely interested in science. I haven't seen much of internships at school but some professors do send newsletter if students are interested in interning at certain facility.

The typical students at community colleges are mostly students who have either just started college, working on transfer, or those who have families and a full time job but are working towards a degree that they probably did not have a chance before. The diversity at the school is enormous and with that, the community colleges have workshops and classes that help understand ethnic studies and political studies. Community college is a second chance for people who wants a better career in life and having these community colleges are certainly will give people hope towards a better future.
