Most Overlooked Teams
Soccer has been extremely competitive in the Pac-10 Conference, and baseball is earning respect under the coaching staff of former San Diego Padre, Tony Gwinn.
School Spirit
School spirit is generally a lightly felt presence. The majority of the campus is divided into cliques, and they have spirit only for themselves. Sorority sisters and fraternity brothers have "Greek spirit." Athletes and their fans tend to have spirit for their particular sports, and partygoers will have undeniable spirit for the keggers and beer blasts. Walking around campus, you'll notice that the student body appears quite apathetic, though if you ask them individually, they'll tell you they love their school.
Getting Tickets
Students are given free tickets to games. To purchase other tickets, visit goaztecs.com, Viajas Arena box office, or Student Services Box Office.
Best Place to Take a Walk
Walks and runs through campus are common, avoid taking runs around the College Area because it isn't the safest area in San Diego, especially at night.
