Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

To be blunt, San Diego State is home to lots of gorgeous people. Girls at SDSU are known to be some of the prettiest in the state, and you would be hard-pressed to disagree. Heidi Klum would fit in perfectly here. Guys are known to be almost as equally attractive, but they care a lot less about their looks than the women. The attractiveness of the student population probably has something to do with the school’s social reputation as “the place to be.” The perfect weather certainly helps paint everyone in a positive light. If you’re looking for a college with people who are easy on the eyes, it does not get much better than at San Diego State.

Girls are beautiful here, thanks to both their natural beauty and the care they put into their appearance. Guys are also good-looking if you like the surfer look, but frankly, they just don’t care much about how they look. The downside to all this attractiveness, if any, is the complaint about the superficiality of everyone. I have heard numerous arguments about how most people who attend this school are shallow and care more about the hair on top of their head than the knowledge inside their head. This perspective is true to some extent, but with people as attractive as they are, it would be strange if they weren’t a tad bit superficial; it comes with the territory. With some of the most beautiful college students around, you couldn’t ask for much more out of San Diego State.

About the Diversity at SDSU

The school was very multicultural there is people from all around the world. I do see the difference between me and others that is there history that I have been taught throughout school. I see only one interest in all the students and that is that they are taking this higher education serious. But the night life a lot different I see people dressing more revealing just to go have fun.

Repeat of High School

You'll find that college doesn't change people as much as you would think. There's still the jocks, popular kids, bookworms, etc. Most people, despite this, are still helpful and considerate, but just not as mature as expected. Overall the student body is very attractive.

The Girls

The majority of the girls on campus consist mainly of your average blonde party girls, cute asians and filipinos, and a few blacks and Mexicans. Most of them are quite attractive for the most part but other than that there isn't much to look at.

What kinds of relationships have you had since coming to school?

How would you rate the social scene on campus?

Facts

Social Scene

A majority of students would describe the dating scene at San Diego State as desolate. Perhaps it is the extreme attractiveness of the women that intimidates the guys. Or maybe it's the atmosphere they've been raised on since freshman year which encourages solidarity. More dating tends to takes place among the more conservative (those who don't party) students, while the wilder set seems content to simply hook up during the weekend. It seems that a large portion of the dating scene at San Diego State has been replaced by drunken weekend hookups.

Hookups or Relationships?

There are more hookups than relationships. Because of the large size of the school, the pool never runs dry.

Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls

It varies, some students go to class in sweats and a T-shirt, signifying that they don’t want to talk to anyone. There are students who go to class dressed in their best attire, perhaps it means they are willing to meet new people. But other than meeting people under the roofs of the classroom, outside of the school setting is where you meet potential hook-up buddies. At weekend parties, you are much more likely to meet a potential hook-up buddy than at any other time.

Dress Code

Girls: Sundresses, miniskirts, or short shorts, and flip-flops are the way to go around campus. Guys: Go for a very casual, laid-back look of T-shirts, jeans, flip-flops or Vans, and aviator-style sunglasses.
