College Prowler Take

Public transportation at San Diego State is not at all popular for now. There is a bus station located nearby, which almost nobody uses. The bus station is conveniently located, but many students feel that public transportation is not right for them because of the waiting time for the buses, and the questionable people that ride the bus. Students who have used the trolley station in Mission Valley are impressed with its ease of use and its convenient stops downtown and by the border. With the new station right on campus, the trolley will be utilized by even more students, and transportation has received a much nicer presentation that appeals to the student population on a much broader level.

Being able to take the new, attractive trolley to a Padres game or Tijuana is a very appealing idea to many students. Imagine drinking in your apartment, catching the trolley downtown to a Padres game, and riding it back after a victorious win against the Giants. Oh the possibilities! Hopefully more students will decide to use the trolley to go downtown and back rather than take the risk of driving drunk. With the addition of the trolley to campus, and the proximity of the bus stop to campus, San Diego State students are sure to embrace public transportation a great deal more than they ever have before.

Public transportation is decent. You have to wait a while for the trolleys and buses, but the trolley goes pretty much everywhere in San Diego, which makes it easier for people without cars.

In general, public transportation...

In general, public transportation in San Diego is pretty underdeveloped given that it's a pretty major city. The trolley runs right onto campus, which makes commuting much less stressful. In the daytime it's okay, but it gets a little sketchy at night, though.

Public transportation is very useful. With the trolley right on campus, students can go all around town, whether they want to head out to the club scene or attend a Chargers game.

The trolley is finally done, and it runs to SDSU now, which is great. Overall, public transportation in this town sucks. It takes two hours of waiting for a bus, stopping at every stop along the way, and transferring to another bus or trolley to get anywhere. It would only take about 20 minutes in a car.
