Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

During their first year at San Francisco State, many students may be saddened and lonely, as it may seem hard to find the right social group outright. But when it is finally time to leave for good, the tears are sure to come flowing. With so much one can explore and experience within the seven-mile stretch of San Francisco, SFSU offers much more than what other universities and areas offer in longer mile stretches. The trendy piercing/tattoo shops of Haight Street, the tourism of Powell, the swell relaxation and jogging atmosphere of Embarcadero—they all combine to create an experience unlike any other city. The majority of students would still choose to go to SFSU rather than transfer or go to another school, mainly due to the culture.

San Francisco is one of the rare places where just about anyone who spends time in the city can at some point reach within themselves and find an aspect that runs parallel with the city. Even as a commuter student, one is sure to be able to soak up the fog and feel out the city. Take a moment to revel in all you have seen and heard. The experience is there—a growth from lowly student to man or woman.

House Party Best Bet, Clubs Everywhere!!!

Catch the muni anywhere and head downtown. If you feel like bar hoping or hitting the clubs, downtown is the place to be. Some clubs have guest lists to get in free before 11pm like Temple. Ruby Sky-long lines but worth the wait.dont get there too late otherwise your stuck. Ladies, come with your girls and they'll let you in. Theres clubs for 18-and older in the Castro. House parties are all over by the campus. Parkmerced is typically where the students live and makes it easier to walk down the street to the party with friends instead of having to take public all the way downtown. Best thing is off campus around the school to party.
