Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

San Francisco State is incredibly diverse. You can meet all types of people, of all races, religious backgrounds, ages, and interests. And, unlike other schools that claim to be diverse but are actually quite "cliquey," the students at the University really do seem to mingle with everyone.

There are many different types of organizations on campus that represent the unique types of people. For example, there's the Cambodian and Lao Student Union, the Indonesian Student Organization, the Pacific Islanders Club, and the Muslim Women Student Association, just to name a few. Every type of ethnicity, interest, and religious affiliation is accepted and embraced; plus, there's usually a club for it.
