The main reason i chose this school was because they have a great automotive program that i can complete in only 2 years. I've attended another school before but the school was not as big and did not offer alot of activites.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The school makes it very difficult to get back into and it seems impossible get back in. Some of the things that happen in your life is out our control. I cannot get any help with paying for my school and my single mother does not make enough to pay for me either. I am hoping there is help out there and I would like to finish my classes without any delays.

The school dormatory and it is hard when you have to drive over 78 miles just to be in class. I always struggle with getting money for gas. If the school would have some support in transportation, it would be great.

The computer network is good but not enough computer set up. I am good with but limited.

I have selected a different major due to the college does not offer what I am most interested in architect. I have selected Engineering (AS.ENGR) 68-79 credit hours. To me this is too much just for assiociate degree. I feel that they have overloaded requirements. But, I am optimistic about what I can learn in mapping and GIS technology.

It is good that I have learned more in my Reading Class.

The school would be better if it had dormatory for students. And, have more classes that do Architect.

The majority of the student body is made up of Native Americans and students between the ages of 18 and 26. However, there is also a good share of students of other ethnicities and ages. Many of the students are working-class citizens with full-time jobs and families, but this doesn't hinder their determination to get an education and further their pursuit for a better life. I don't know the ratio in which the student body is inhabited by gay, lesbian, or bisexual students; but a club was created for them to interact with one another and seems to be highly popular. San Juan College is a very accepting place in regards to the diversity of the student body.

The Career Services center is quite amazing. There are a lot of options available to students and for the most part the staff is friendly.

Nice Flexibility, but Difficult to Do Things Within Other Colleges – There is a lot of flexibility with classes and the instructors are brillant. However, the one down side with San Juan College is that there isn't much leeway when attempting in enrolling in colleges outside the Four Corners states. I am currently trying to enroll in the Semester at Sea program with the University of Virginia for the Fall 2012 semester, but while trying to get the consortium taken care of and make sure all of my classes transfer over I keep hitting one road block after another. According to many of the people I've talked to this is not something that is unique to myself. While this hindrance makes trying to broaden one's academic career quite a hassle, the freedom one experiences in the clubes they join and the classes they take; as well as the help and support that the instructors give makes San Juan College worth every penny.

This is a huge community college but the professors still manage to find time for the students that need extra help in their classes. The curricullum is very challening sometimes because of the excellent quality of the school and teachers are great for helping. Registration was a lot easier than I had imaginged. I did not have a vehicle but it still only took a couple of hours for everything.

San Juan College has a very wide range of career services for students and provides a lot of degrees that get students their place in the real world. These classes give students a lot of experience and prepare them for what it is like to have a job in their professional career.

I am doing prerequisites for a nursing progra and the classes are challenging but you learn so much from them. I feel I am blessed that i can take classes here and the classes are all related to my future degree. The workload is a little much at first but easy to manage after the first couple of weeks.

Time management is a must. Since the course centers around your availability to do the work, it is easy to procrastinate or forget assignments and fall behind. Time must be set aside for online courses like a face to face meeting.

Being that this is only a two year school, I have found amazing support from professors and students who will help you pass the classes and find the next best route as you continue your major.

I have only taken one online class and it was good for the most part. It was a history class, so there was a lot of reading and answering questions. I preferred it to be meticulous over the computer than sitting at a desk trying to to pay attention to what I was reading.

Cultural awareness is huge on the campus because we have different minorities and interect in many classes and organization on campus. There is a good sense of cultural respect.

My school consists of all types of people, young and old. I enjoy seeing that anyone can go back to school and be what they want, but with older people I don't believe that is what they are trying to do. I would rather be with students at my age, so I don't feel like the youngest person in the room. Other than that, I enjoy the student body.

The gym is a wonderful place to relax and get fit. They always keep the equipment clean and maintained. People are always available to answer questions if needed, and there are plenty of places to just sit and relax.

I haven't graduated yet, so I can't completely answer this question, but they do offer job fairs, which can be very helpful for struggling college students.

The library, computer resources, and gym are probably my favorite part of the San Juan College Resources. The only part I get irritated with are the computers. Though access to them are wonderful, the quality of some of the computers are maintained. The network and links to sites on the home page can be slow and sometimes will be out all together.

My current school is wonderful. We have great staff and a great campus. I think the best part of our school's resources is the tutoring availability. It has been very helpful with my classes.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
