Everyone at the school is friendly. You do not need to be nervous about approaching someone. People will help you if they can and are never rude. There are many there who will be your friend. All you have to do is say hi.

Santa Ana College seems like a goldmine for those looking for oppurtunities. The school has great financial support and there are multiple programs that help you with any more financial problems you may have. Santa Ana College is also linked with Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine which is great for those looking for an easy transfer. The faculty also seems eager to help you get out of there and help you advance to the next stage.

There is the transfer center, computer labs, math centers, learning centers, athletic centers, multiple campus activities provided by ASG , really the list goes on!

There are multiple locations in which students can print. There are various computer labs scattered around campus. The wireless connection is also very easy to acquire.

Santa Ana College has the potential to be a very beautiful school, but for some reason always has an excuss to why students don't succeed

The professors at my school are extremely involved with the students and really care about their students. You can definitely create personal relationships with your professors and they encourage you to speak up if you are having any trouble may it be in class or in your personal life. They love one-on-one conversations with students who open up about their problems at home. If anything ever comes up in life that gets in the way with your school work, the professors always find ways to make-up your work. They want you to be successful and pass your class with the highest grade possible and do anything for you not to fail.

My school has the most friendly people you could ever meet. The teachers and administrative staff definitely go the extra miles for students who need that extra help. One of the most unique programs at Santa Ana College is the Student Scholar Transfer Institute Program (SSTI) that allows you to take a class in ten days at the University of California, Irvine in the summer. You get to live in the dorms on campus and basically take a class there in ten days. You get really close with your class peers and teachers. The classes vary from summer to summer and they only have three you can choose from. I was very fortunate enough to go through this program this past summer of 2013. I took English 103 and it definitely helped improve my writing skills. I now feel prepared for writing essays at the University level.

The resources on campus are endless. There is a math center that helps you with any math course your taking a writing center that helps you with any writing assignments, a large gym for games, and a small gym for recreational or practice purposes. The library may have the most resources available for students. They have computers you can use all day, laptops you can check-out, rooms you can use for study groups, personal televisions you can use to watch educational films with and even headphones to check-out to use for any reason. There is also an area called "the spot" where students can play video games, pool, and listen to great music. They have snacks that you can buy to munch on, couches you can relax on, and an information booth about all the clubs at Santa Ana College. It is definitely a great spot to hangout and take a break from school.

The computer network that is used most of the time is a network called Blackboard. Where all the students and professors communicate class related things may it be homework, class work, exams, quizzes. Grades are posted up and updated every week which helps keep track of every class you are registered in. Every professor uses blackboard which is great! However, there are times when the system shuts down randomly and it gets frustrating at times. If something happened and your work was not able to get turned in on time, the teachers either give half of the points the work was worth or no points whatsoever. Fortunately, these situations do not happen that often. In my experience, throughout the three years I have been at Santa Ana College, the computer network has only shut down twice. The reason being was the network was being updated and reconstructed. Overall, the network reliability is at a high.

I'm a psychology major, and my classes are not so much what I expected. As a freshman college is better than what I expected, except the required classes which in my opinion we don't really need those. In my psychology class we have to volunteer in different places to gain knowledge and practice what we have learned. I am content with my class and looking forward to learn a lot more.

Mostly, my school consists of working-class people with full-time jobs or families. They manage to go to school to further their education. To a better life or career. I know I decided to go back to school to be an example for single mom's out there that even if you have kids. You can still accomplish your dreams. And to be a great role models for your children's and give them a better future.

I'm paralegal major, and my classes are what i expected so far. I do have to take electives classes. I wish I only had to take classes that major my career. But in order to get my certificate at Santa Ana I would need to get first my AA Degree to be able to get my certificate as a Paralegal. I am at this school because it's what I can afford and if i go to vocational school it would cost me a lot of money. That I wouldn't be able to afford. Th workload for my classes I am taking is great not overwhelming. I like my classes.

Sometimes making a well planned schedule can be very difficult. Classes tend to fill up fast so you are left with a few options, and those options do not always align up perfectly. My first semester I had a crazy schedule, where I would have a 2 hour break between classes, which was not long enough to go home and relax, but it was also too long to wait around. Then due to classes being full, I had to take a few classes at Santiago Canyon College, which was inconvenient. Besides struggling to organize a well planned schedule, the classes have a variety of times. For people who work, or are busy in the day, a lot of the classes have night times and early morning times. For convenience some classes combine the full week of class into a single day. The class is longer but it allows you to have an extra free day.

For the most part, the people that attend my school are friendly people. It is a very diverse school, in age, race, and beliefs. The experience you will receive with these people will be great. At first I thought the school was not going to be the right school for me, but once I entered the classroom everyone from all different backgrounds came together in a very friendly matter. Its interesting to meet different people and further yourself socially. Generally one would think that Santa Ana is not that great of a place, due to the people. So its nice to know that on campus, the people are not animals like one would assume, in my experience I have never encountered any crime, fights, or problems on campus. The people there are serious, do not let that affect your decision about SAC.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
