You can get alcohol really easily and weed is all over the place. There is a 95% chance that if you go to this school, you smoke weed or no someone who does. There is occasional talk of dropping acid or LSD but you don't hear about it too much.

The frats and sororities at this school are not recognized by the school. The Greek people act as if they are God's gift to the world just for going Greek. Most of the hot girls are in sororities which sucks for guys like me who are not in a frat.

Guys & Girls:
Girls Are Pretty Attractive. Girls at Santa Clara are generally really attractive. A lot of them won't talk to me because they can be really stuck-up if you are not in a frat. They are still nice to look at even though they are snobs.

some nights are good, some aren't. Overall quite good, no good clubs around though

Need more variety. They do focus a lot on healthy stuff but some of it just doesn't taste very good. Quite expensive too

Love It – I love my friends and my education here. I have gotten so many opportunities to get a jump start on my career and have met so many networking channels. I definately came here for my education and it has met all my expectations in that regard!

Housing is very expensive and you will almost always have to have a roomate to pay a decent price. A lot of the houses are run down, but the new apartment complexes a little farther away are really nice.

Accounting: Great Job Security – accounting major is a very difficult major with the most class requirements of any other major. However, we have a great accounting association that works really hard at getting students internships and jobs.

California Dreamin' – Northern California is undoubtedly gorgeous. This year has seen a ton of rain, but when the some comes out and the weather is warm EVERYONE is outside. There are day parties and people lay out at the pool and any patch of grass on campus. Its a great way to tan and get homework done.

Athletic Community – The athletic community is very strong at Santa Clara. Because the school is so small, everyone knows everyone. This makes it more fun to attend sporting events because you are friends with the players! The coaches are all friendly and are on campus. They really try to get the students excited and engaged in each sport. I feel like the school spirit could be improved considering how nice the facilities and the athletes are!

Health & Safety:
A+ Safety – There has never been a time when I did not feel completely safe on or around campus. There is never a shortage of campus safety patrolling the grounds and when you need them they respond quickly to any and all emergencies. The Santa Clara Police Department also faces the school and there are many other emergency medical response agencies surrounding the school or not far from campus. Santa Clara is definitely one of the safest campuses I have ever visited.

Freshmen aren't allowed to have cars. This is something everyone thinks sucks at the beginning, but there are always things going on so you don't get bored. It also makes you really close with everyone in your class because you are all in the same boat. Plus it is an excuse to chat up the upperclassmen... You need a friend whith wheels when you want to drive to In N Out! If you have a parking permit, it is easy to find parking. If you don't, it is difficult and getting tickets is quite common. All of the areas surrounding campus have hor limits on how long you can part there so you have to get creative.

Rlcs Are Awesome – The residence halls at SCU are divided by learning community. Each building has a different theme and each has it's own unique personality. Incoming freshmen always freak out about where they are going to be placed, but mostly everyone loves their freshman experience. Every building is differnt, but they all have something to offer. Campus is small, so distance and location isn't really a factor.

Can't Complain – Santa Clara has all the basics within walking distance from campus, Round Table, Subway, Taco Bell and a mix of smaller mom and pop restaruaunts that are AWESOME. We have a Thai pepper, Mio Vecino, and Henry's. These places are all delicious, and the all accept FLEX dollars which is very Convienient . If you are looking for something fancier, say a night out, Downtown San Jose and Santana Row are chock full with a ton of hot spots which are very quick and easy to get to. Chipotle and In N Out are just down the street too!

very low tolerance to messing up dorms or outrageous behavior, especially if drinking, etc.

The South Bay area is very diverse: easy and accessible transportation of all varieties, ballgames, theatres, movies, dining, the ocean, San Francisco, etc.

It's in California! A small private school, with small class sizes and great professors. Plus the California sunshine make it a wonderful place to be

Great Athletic Department – Although team records are up and down the athletic department is great. they could make changes but they are working on it. good facilities and not afraid to spend money.

Start Early! They host off campus Q and A sessions at least once a year. Cost is very high!!! not much parking. usually only one driveway and everyone else is fighting for street parking. There is a limited amount of options of housing that everyone fights over.

Not University Sponsored – The frats and sororities are off campus in their own world. The University doesn't recognize them, but they have fairly good parties.

Most of the population is white, but SCU is trying to promote diversity within the university, and there are a lot of Asian and Hispanic students.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
