beautiful campus, beautiful girls (and guys), done.

The housing on campus isn't that bad, it really depends on what building you are in. The newer dorms like Graham and Swig are super nice but ones like Dunne and Walsh aren't as nice. They are all clean, the only reason others aren't as nice is because they are old.

Guys & Girls:
All the guys and girls at Santa Clara are super attractive. Everyone is friendly, good looking and intelligent. There are always a few exceptions and you do find some weirdos but in general, people are extremely attractive. My friends and I joke its an admission requirement!

They do bust you for weed and alcohol - but kids do get away with it pretty often. Definitely a party school.

Public transportation is pretty good - bus is cheap. Lots of kids have cars and if you don't have one, you are kind of left out. School hardly provides any transportation.

Top notch no doubt. The work load is kind of big, my roommate is an Engineering student and I study English/Poli-Sci and he has a lot more work than I do but it's still tough all around.

Guys & Girls:
There are all sorts of students here, although it is not as racially diverse as I thought it might be. Everyone dresses pretty casual, it's definitely noticeable if someone is dressed up. For the most part, everyone is pretty fit and does some sort of athletic activity a few times a week at least.

Guys & Girls:
The guys are so delicious! They are so hot! God, California men <3 Santa Clara really does attract the hottest guys.

Really high quality meals and food service. The diversity of the meals is great, and dining plans are easy to use. Stellar compared to other universities.

Santa Clara is very adamant about interreligious beliefs, and is supportive of diversity, but the student body is not incredibly ethnically diverse; mostly whites. The most obvious diversity shortfall is that of economic background, most students come from really wealthy families and not owning a smart phone would put you in a very small minority.

Drugs seem to be a non-issue compared to drinking, and i haven't seen or heard about any drug incidences since i have arrived.

SCU will give you a great education. The class sizes are small and the professors generally care about you and what they are teaching. They are always available as a resource. It is best known for its engineering and business programs, but other majors will definitely receive a great education here as will.

The immediate surrounding area is not very good, but about a mile and a half away is a great mall and strip with many restaurants and good shopping. The best part of the area is the train station right across the street from campus, where you can hop on the CalTrain and go on a day trip to San Francisco!

No clubs around, but 21+ year olds and those with fakes enjoy going to the bars. The house parties, however, are excellent and located super close to campus! The party scene here is definitely a good time.
College Junior 2012-11-29T00:26:04Z
There are only a few restaurants close to campus and they are all fast food - Wicked Chicken, Round Table, and Pizza My Heart. They all have pretty good food, but it definitely gets old going to the same places time and again.

I have not encountered any trouble with the police force. But I feel that if you are smart about things you do not have to encounter them. If you happen to I feel that they would not be so tolerant about certain things, depending on how extreme they are.
College Senior 2012-11-17T00:01:34Z
I feel that the campus is welcoming and very attractive to people looking to explore and learn new things. I even learned that graduates can get married on campus, this adds to the experience of this school. The fact that they are so involved with alumni makes you feel like you are a part of something bigger.

We're good, but we're not that good. Men's basketball games are frequently the ones most people go to, but not women's sports.

We have a computer replacement program that usually replaces the old computers with new Macs that can run both Windows or Mac OS for people who are used to either. There are a whole bunch of computers for people to use in the Library at their convenience.

Guys & Girls:
There are plenty of good looking guys and girls - the only downside is some of the really good ones are already taken. Still, people seem to find other people out there!

Guys & Girls:
The school is very diverse when it comes to personality and attitudes, but not as much when it come to cultural diversity. There are mostly white, Asians, and middle eastern students. Minority students include Latinos and African-americans.
College Senior 2012-10-23T23:39:20Z
The small class sizes are so helpful when it comes to getting engaged more in the materials. Professors get to know you by your name, and are also available for questions during office hours as well as outside office hours. Some may provide their personal cell number or email just in case students have an urgent question or confusion. The more participation in class, the more you learn and receive good grades in the courses.

I prefer San Jose to Santa Clara, which is nearby. There are lots of dining options, bicycling is becoming more popular, museums, music, etc.

SCU does not have it's own transportation on campus, but it is close to VTA buses and Caltrain.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
