Advice
- Get on BroncoTRAK as soon as possible and set some criteria for the jobs you want. The database will continuously e-mail you information about new openings that match your description. It is good to get into the habit of following up on all your applications through e-mail, or preferably a phone call a few days after you submit them. Also, you need to learn to sell yourself; first in writing and then verbally. As the saying goes, “the resumé may result in an interview, but it’s the interview that wins you the job.” There is a whole new lexicon that you need to know for job applications. For instance, you need to use words like “lexicon,” which sound impressive and professional. The Career Center can help you with all this.
