Off-campus dining around the Santa Clara campus tends to be quick and casual, with options ranging from fast food chains like Taco Bell and Subway to pizza joints and a family-owned Mexican grill. There are also some nicer, reasonably-priced, sit-down restaurants a few blocks from campus in Franklin Square.

Once you venture farther from the immediate campus area, there's a wider variety of cuisines to choose from. Santana Row has the greatest concentration of good restaurants in the area, from European bistros and cafés to upscale Italian, Indian, Japanese, and Mexican restaurants. Though a little pricier than what's offered around campus, these places are popular for students to take their parents or celebrate a special occasion.

Off Campus Dining... Where Is It?

The closest walking distance options are Blondies, Henry's, Yum Yum Tree, SafeWay, Subway, Stuft Pizza, Some Random Cafe( that does not serve good Chai Tea). All of these dining options are reasonably priced and can be paid using your Flex points on your access card. EXCEPT SAFEWAY! Which is annoying.

If your a freshman, aka you don't have a car, then the options above are convenient and delicious.

Students without a ride can still take the bus, which is right across the street to the Mall or the Alameda or wherever your stomach desires.

But if you have a car a whole new area awaits in San Jose, which is five minutes away there is the Alameda which has plenty of options! mmm everything is delicious. Then there is the Valley Fair Mall and Santana Row, which offers a variety of food.

I am sure there is more to explore but I am just a Freshman without a Car -__- so I these are the only areas that I have explored

Decent Prices and Pretty Good Quality Found Very Close

There are several places nearby, but only one of them is special. So we have the franchises, such as Taco Bell, Starbucks, Quiznos, Denny's, Round Table, and my personal favorite, Smoke Eaters.
