Off-campus dining around the Santa Clara campus tends to be quick and casual, with options ranging from fast food chains like Taco Bell and Subway to pizza joints and a family-owned Mexican grill. There are also some nicer, reasonably-priced, sit-down restaurants a few blocks from campus in Franklin Square.

Once you venture farther from the immediate campus area, there's a wider variety of cuisines to choose from. Santana Row has the greatest concentration of good restaurants in the area, from European bistros and cafés to upscale Italian, Indian, Japanese, and Mexican restaurants. Though a little pricier than what's offered around campus, these places are popular for students to take their parents or celebrate a special occasion.

Decent Prices and Pretty Good Quality Found Very Close

There are several places nearby, but only one of them is special. So we have the franchises, such as Taco Bell, Starbucks, Quiznos, Denny's, Round Table, and my personal favorite, Smoke Eaters.

Remember We're Students!

There lots of places to eat off campus w/in walking distance or by short drives, however they do not ever have student discounts. I think this is because Santa Clara U isn't in a 'college town' that caters to students. However, there is a very diverse eating scene everything from fast food to ethnic.

Small Town

Santa Clara has restaurants here and there, however few are within walking distance. As a student without a car, this is sometimes inconvenient. Student discounts are offered and prices are relatively average.
