College Prowler Take
Transportation to and from campus is very convenient. San Jose International Airport is only a few minutes away, but you won’t be kept up at night by planes taking off and landing. Shuttles run from the airport to campus non-stop, so even a total newcomer should be able to find his way between them without difficulty. The Caltrain station directly across the street from the main entrance to campus is a quick and easy way to get to San Francisco and Oakland or almost anywhere else in the Bay Area on the cheap. There is also a city bus stop there, but it is rarely utilized by students, because it only comes a few times a day. For those who are not keen on public transportation, there are a number of taxi services available. Several major highways, including the 101, 880, and 280, also intersect within a half mile of campus, making navigating off-campus excursions fairly simple for those with cars of their own. The transportation options are such that students can make their way pretty much anywhere they want with a minimal amount of planning.

There is plenty of public transportation, but no one ever uses it, because if you are leaving campus, you might as well leave the whole city. |

Caltrain is cheap and easy, but they’ve been doing a bunch of construction on it lately. I used to use it quite a bit to go to San Fran, but I haven’t in a long time. |
