There is a pretty good access of computers during the day, but if you are a student who likes to work at night you better have brought your own computer same with printers. The wifi on campus is pretty bipolar. Sometimes it's super fast and sometimes I don't even bother using the internet.

There is mostly New Mexican food here but if you go into the plaza you have more options, but I would't say there are a lot of choices near campus.

Campus strictness is very prevalent at this school. You pretty much have to attend all your classes otherwise your grade lose points for each excused and unexcused absences. There cannot be any drug or alcohol use in the dorms and if caught you will be written up.

I feel pretty conflicted when it comes to my school because I really am not liking the program I'm in but I really enjoy the people at the school. I can't say I would do it over again but I'm just trying to enjoy my year here before I transfer.

For a college student Santa Fe is definitely interesting. If your a person who wants to live the college life in a college town, Santa Fe will not be for you. If you want a quiet town with lots of cultural events Santa Fe will be for you. Santa Fe is essentially a artsy town full of retired people. If you want any sort of nightlife you have to look really hard or just go to Albuquerque.

This campus is an old one. It used to be home of the College of Santa Fe and a lot of buildings for that time are being used right now. Most of the facilities need major renovations because they are pretty outdated. The best building architecturally and functionally is the visual art building. The architecture oozes modernity and is visually appealing.

The dorms are pretty average. There small and have the white brick walls that make you feel like your in a jail cell. The floor is tile so you'll want a rug. They recently reopened the Kennedy Hall which is the nicer option of all the dorms. They have real walls, carpeted floor and a sink and vanity in the room. The showers and bathrooms though all around the campus are less than desired. They have on campus apartments but they have strict guidelines of those who can occupy them.

Transportation is very limited if you don't have a car. There is a bus stop kind of near campus that can take you into downtown and is free for 18 year olds but it's not that great for getting around town. Having a car on campus is your best bet if you want to explore the small city of Santa Fe.

The weather in Santa Fe is definitely interesting. For the most part it is sunny with a little bit of wind which makes it nice walking around campus, but there are those few days where the weather is miserable.

There is a strict policy on no drugs or alcohol on campus but that doesn't stop the majority from partaking in some type of substance. Most happens off campus but there are few that still will do it on campus. The consequences are very serious though. There really isn't any peer pressure, and most students understand if a person doesn't want it, they don't want it.

There is definitely a lot of diversity on campus. We have a lot of people all over the country but most are from Texas. Also the amount of internationals is probably half the school. There are a lot of people from Brazil, Mexico, Norway, and so on. Also there is no problem accepting any sexual orientation on this campus.

Because the dance program is only a year old, it's still pretty new, but that doesn't mean you have to reinvent the wheel. The schedule is still really wonky and I feel like I'm not getting my money's worth or gaining any preparation for the dance world. There is a lot of drama you have to deal with and discrepancies because not everything is set in stone. There are only two studios, one the theater and one in the gym, but the one in the theater does not have sprung floors and the ballet barres seem like they could just pop off the walls. All in all the program needs a lot of changes and I just don't see it happening anytime soon.

As of right now, it looks like I won't be having a lot of help getting an internship in my major or related to my major. If I do, it will have to be on my own time.

My experience so far here as been great. I have met so many people from so many different countries and backgrounds. The students from different departments get to collaborate on projects. I have found that the experiences I am having here would not be possible at a larger university. Most of the students have the opportunity to have internships and the teachers and career services here are great at helping the students do that!
College Junior 2013-11-01T15:54:54Z
All the computers are equipped with the programs I need. The ones for graphic design and digital arts departments come with tablets and scanners! Printing is always free! I find that there are plenty of computers to go around, even during midterms and finals.

Drugs are not around. Drinking is nearly invisible as it is only done by the students of age.
College Junior 2013-11-01T15:48:07Z
There are several gallery spaces around campus. There are lounges in nearly every building that students use to meet and study. The campus is small so the community is really felt. Plus, it takes only about 5 minutes to walk across the campus!

The school is generous with its scholarships and the financial aid department are very helpful.

Majors go in-depth into the topic. There are classes that focus on one aspect of a major that other universities do not offer. Plus, all the liberal art core classes are made to be interesting to the art students.
College Junior 2013-11-01T15:44:26Z
There is theatre, dance, photography, graphic design, animation, film, creative writing, music, and arts management. The faculty and advisors are extremely helpful with helping the students get the classes they need.
College Junior 2013-11-01T15:39:56Z
Many students have their own cars. Students also take the public buses, train system if they want to go to another city, and shuttles to and from airports when needed.
College Junior 2013-11-01T15:38:22Z
There are no sports teams here. But the gym has a weight room, cardio room, yoga room, racquet ball courts, and a court with a track and basket ball hoops. Most popular event on campus is dodgeball!

Health & Safety:
The nurse on campus is great! Security is always around and are very friendly. They will even help if you are having car trouble.

Computers, tabets, scanners, and printers are available in several locations for the students. Computers have all the programs the students need. Plus, printing is free!!

Dorms are close to the classrooms. Roommate process is great.
