If you see a counselor before the semester begins, you'll find that SRJC has a lot of scheduling options. Most classes have a range of available sections, which makes them flexible and adaptable to many different lifestyles. Generally, the longer you've been at SRJC, the easier it is. Scheduling order is determined by the number of units you've already taken; students with more units get priority when choosing classes.
The College makes many classes available in an array of times so that students can finish their required classes in minimal time. Many students who work part- or full-time find SRJC's night and weekend classes very convenient. The only struggle that students run in to is how fast classes get filled. Since the JC offers classes to forty thousand students per semester, it is hard to give everyone the classes of their choice.
