Most Popular Sports
The biggest crowds turn out for women's volleyball and men's basketball games at the Campbell Sports Center. That being said, these crowds are still just a spattering of students, many of whom simply come to cheer for specific friends on each team. Ultimate Frisbee happens weekly on the North Lawn (the heart of main campus), and thus, there's always somebody to cheer on the players as they get tackled in the grass.
Most Overlooked Teams
What the SLC women's swim team lacks in being a popular crowd-pleaser, it makes up for with a dogged work ethic and competitive success.
School Spirit
Students are proud of the close-knit, highly-creative community fostered at SLC. There's a feeling that everybody at SLC has something intellectual to offer-whether it's a creative talent, dogged ambition, or a steel-trap memory. A common phrase is, "Well, if he or she got into Sarah Lawrence, he or she can't be stupid." School spirit is evident in the massive turnouts for student art shows and performances, as well as the strong support for events such as Sleaze Week and Bacchanalia. Because there aren't many other nearby colleges, campus life is at times comically insular, and students often bond by lovingly mocking their school with infectious inside jokes and satirical newspapers such as "The Bubble."
Getting Tickets
There are no tickets for SLC athletic events. Even if you show up late for a game, you're likely to get a whole row of bleachers to yourself.

Did You Know?
- In an effort to encourage fitness, the gym holds an annual "Sweatheart Challenge" after Valentine's Day. Participants must complete a rigorous fitness regimen over the course of seven days. Anybody can participate, but only the toughest survive (and get a stylish victory T-shirt).
- In Slonim Woods, there is a rope course for team confidence training sessions. Take a peek by climbing up Slonim Ledge; however, unauthorized use is forbidden.
