The bad news is that you’re definitely going to need a break from the on-campus eateries. The good news? There are plenty of off-campus establishments to choose from. Bronxville, home to more than two dozen restaurants, has its ups and downs. Everybody frequents a favorite Bronxville restaurant, but most students agree that variety and affordability are a problem. Eateries here are primarily either gourmet Italian or Asian, and most of them are upscale and expensive. If you’re looking for ambience and high prices aren’t an obstacle, check out Underhills Crossing or íl Bacío Trattoría. If you want good food at a low price, the student favorite is A’Mangiare, a tasty yet inexpensive pizzeria on Palmer Avenue. Most restaurants have pick-up or delivery options, so call ahead if you’d rather take your meal back to campus.
Head into Yonkers, and you’ll find a number of cheaper, faster franchise restaurants, such as Burger King. Sun Xing on Midland Avenue makes frequent deliveries to SLC—just make sure to tell the delivery man to meet you at Westlands Gate. If it’s late and you’ve got the munchies, get a ride to the Argonaut Diner, where pretty much any type of food you can imagine is on the menu. However, whether it’s always edible or not is your call.
