I love the fact that I can take an online course at my own home but I would like it better if I was able to work at my own pace. Most assignments are given a week to complete while i feel as if I could complete more in this time frame. Also, the new change regarding all tests required to be completed in the school testing center is also an inconvenience to those who live far or have busy work schedules.

The price for the school is reasonable but the quality of the education is sometimes a question. I want to do well when I transfer to a university but many of the courses I have taken are either very difficult or way too easy. I would like to see balance between the two with courses that are challenging yet possible.

I've taken a few online courses, and my experience has been mostly good. I did have an issue with one instructor not replying as quickly as I thought he should have, but found out after the fact that he had a full load of classroom courses plus the online course.

I am going for an associates in radiologic technology, but I personally don't think I need a course in writing research papers to succeed in this field. I don't think I will need to know how to cite references in order to take an x-ray or perform an ultrasound.

I am an undecided major so the classes I take are geared more to just getting my associates in science. Although I'm not taking any specific classes I am able to expand my possibilities of what i could do, career wise, in the future.

Here at Sauk, all professors try and be as involved with the students. From the professors that I have had they have been always pushing to teach us what they know and help better our understanding of what they're teaching. You can see their interest in what they teach and it creates a better atmosphere for the students.
The curriculum is above average difficulty.Just because it's a community college doesn't mean the course levels aren't going to be difficult. Some people have even transferred from a four year college to Sauk and have said that the courses here are more difficult. if there is any difficulty with a class there are free tutors available in the Learning Center who are more than happy to give you a hand.
Class registration isn't difficult at all. Counselors are here to help you figure out class times appropriate for you so if help is needed with that it can be given. You can also do it on your own just by going online. the system used for registering is simple to use and very quick.

For such a small school Sauk Valley has quite a bit of facilities available for students. It has, a small gym for whomever wants to be a member, an auditorium for theater performances and productions, a cafeteria with variety of foods, a small music room for those involved with it, a small store which provides course books as well as supplies, an accessible library and a few computer labs. Everything that is needed for a student is available a Sauk. If you just need a place to sit and relax there are several areas for doing that as well.

The flexibility of classes is great. You can either get a counselor's help to sign up for courses or do it on your own. So really you choose your classes based on when you are available to do them. Some classes do fill up more quickly than others so it is your responsibility to get on it.

The people attending classses at my college are a wide variety of full time and part time students. Many people take their studies seriously and are friendly. My lab partner is a very impressive person. She is a full time student and also works full time. It's new to me to see adults in my class and it took me a week to fully grasp that they want to work just as hard to learn to improve their education. I'm proud to live in a community where people take advantage of the wonderful opportunities at Sauk.

There are many accessible computers. The programs are very simple to use; there are rarely any difficulties with the use of them. We are bake to print of anything. If something is needed to be printed in color then there is a small fee bit it's always an option.

Great School to Start Off – Sauk is a great way to get one's education started. It's a small school with students who get involved. Sauk has many activities and events to participate in and it makes it easier to meet new people. My time here has been awesome. I have definitely been able to meet different types of people and although I haven't participate in many activities it's still great to know that it is available.
Sauk offers many classes and for me who was undecided in a major, the variety of classes helped me to see what I was interested in and what I could possibly do in the future.

Tight Schedule – The course of study I have chosen does not allow for a lot of freedom in class choice. There are some really interesting classes out there that I think would be neat to see.

Classes Are Very Career Based – The program that I am enrolling in is not one that has very much slack when it comes to class requirements. However, I feel that I am being guided in the right directions with such a strict plan.
My professors to this point have been amazing! I feel I will come out of this program very efficient at my career.
