What does one say when you win? I feel like I have to say something important but all that comes out is I'M SO EXCITED!!!! I plan on using the money to pay for text books and any remaining balance on my tuition during my senior year next year, and anything left over will go directly towards my loans. Thank you so much College Prowler for the wonderful gift you are giving us by helping us through school! I can't tell you how much this money will help me and all the other lucky winners take a chunk out of our scholarly debt. Good luck everyone for next month!

July 2009 Winner: Kevin Winner

Kevin will be a senior this fall at the University of Texas in Austin, TX where he is majoring in engineering. As the lucky winner, Kevin was awarded first prize of a $2000 scholarship.

Good luck with your senior year Kevin! Hopefully you'll be joining other great UT alums such as Matthew McConaughey, Owen Wilson, Renee Zellweger, Michael Dell, Earl Campbell, and Tom Landry!

"The timing was perfect for this scholarship. I need help for this school year more than ever because I wasn't able to get an internship this summer due the the struggling economy. Now instead of taking out as much student loans as I had planned, I will be able to use this scholarship to help pay for rent, books, and food. This will help me immensely. Now I will be able to focus on finishing my last year of school strong instead of worrying about money all the time."

June 2009 Winner: Megan Davidson

Megan recently graduated from Mishawaka High School in Mishawaka, IN. She plans to attend Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and is currently undecided as to her major. As the lucky winner of our first "No Essay" scholarship, Megan was awarded first prize of a $2000 scholarship.

Good luck with your freshman year Megan! Here are some things to keep in mind as you get ready to start your first year:

- Everyone at IU is happy to help you with any problem.
- There's no way to beat an oncoming rainstorm if it's a 20 minute walk back to the dorm.
- The smallest meal plan is more than enough for most people.
- "Dead Week" really means "Week When I Have Huge Papers or Semester-Long Projects Due in All of My Classes".

Also, be sure to get psyched up for home football and basketball games and be sure to check out the Little 500 in April, which some consider to be the "World's Greatest College Weeekend"!
