Unknown may apply. Applicants must be in kindergarten to 12th grade and submit their artwork to their state or local department. Students must be U.S. citizens, resident aliens or nationals. The first place national winner has their art made into the next Federal Junior Duck Stamp, wins $5,000 and travels with a parent to the next First Day of Sale event for their stamp. The second place winner receives $3,000, and the third place winner receives $2,000. A $500 prize is also awarded to the best conservation message.

Unknown may apply. Applicants must be students at Florida colleges or universities or students from any school whose applications are endorsed by a FOWA member or faculty advisor. They must have a career goal that entails communicating love and appreciation of hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. Selection is based on essay, faculty advisor or FOWA member endorsement, scholastic merit and extracurricular activities. Preference is given to journalism and communications majors.
