A Lot of Variety

Everybody always gets the wrong idea about Scripps. Just because it's a women's college doesn't mean there aren't any men or boys(whatever's your preference) around. There are a lot different sort of women at Scripps, itself. Every stereotype you can imagine and even mixes of stereotypes. It's never hard to find your own type of people or find a significant other right at Scripps. Because Scripps is part of a 5 College Consortium - most extracurriculars, classes, athletics and facilities are shared by all, so which means there is plenty of testosterone floating around. Then it really comes down to the individual, if you would like to make that little bit of extra effort to be friends with whoever you want to be friends with, regardless of which college they go to. Also just a heads up, there are plenty of beautiful women and good looking men around who come from all walks of life, race, place, so just take your pick!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the D-Halls

There are 7 dining halls, each with their own delicious menus each night, which are posted on the school sites. The dining halls are also beautiful places to catch up with friends, and there is outdoor dining all year long.

Campus Housing at Scripps College

Resort-Like Housing

The dorms here are AMAZING! We have our "old dorms," which include the original building on Scripps. These ones are full of character, are very beautiful (a couple overlook our Rose Garden), and have plenty of large singles... most upperclassmen live in these ones.

We have a couple ugly-ish dorms that were built in the 60s and 70s, but at least they have air-conditioning. These are a lot of first-year housing, though all the dorms are mixed which is great. Two of these dorms have amazing 7-person suites, where each person gets a single and you share bathrooms (with a bathtub!), and a living room.

The best dorm at Scripps is the newest one, which is the most gorgeous dorm ever, is air-conditioned, has huge rooms, and the most gorgeous kitchen (it's bigger than my kitchen back home!)

Scripps is a very residential campus, so most people do choose to live in dorms too. ALL our dorms have a grand piano in them, and most have a courtyard attached that your room may even open up to. They all have kitchens and studying rooms we call "Browsing Rooms." We have a variety of options for everyone, from singles (which don't cost extra money), to huge triples, to 4 or 7 person suites. We also have apartments on campus. The housing here is amazing.
