The professors I've had in Seattle Central were really helpful and flexible when it comes to students needing help outside of class. This is because I used ratemyprofessors.com to help determine which teacher is best by relying on other students reviews on the professor. Registering for classes was a little stressful because Seattle Central is limited when it comes to the amount of classes they have. Seattle Central has a lot of classes, especially for a Community College, but it still isn't enough because of the amount of students enrolled into this school. There are some benefits, such as the work study program that allows you to volunteer a certain amount of hours, then are converted into credits. This is helpful when you don't have enough credits to be a full-time student. I also love the multiple options they have to help you pay for your schooling. One of them is the monthly pay, which is very nice especially to students who are struggling with money and they don't have all of it on the spot. Seattle Central has its few downs, but its ups override them and I would like to continue to attend this college.

My first year of college has treated me well! I haven't reached that point where I'm excessively stressing yet, so I'm good for now. The only stress I had to deal with was paying for my classes. I somehow didn't receive Financial Aid due to some misunderstandings. I really wished High School gave a class on College, Financial Aid, and how to save money! Its my first year in college, but its also my first time living in Seattle. I was pretty overwhelmed at all the shops and places I had easy access to, so the first couple of months I didn't manage my money well. We learn from our mistakes. Majority of the people in Seattle Central are very friendly, really nice, and are open to answer any questions with a smile! I learned that when it comes to enrolling into classes each quarter, you have to be on that computer pronto or those classes can be filled within a few days. I'm learning and starting to love college and its experiences!

The computer network in Seattle Central is pretty good! Accessing computers and printers are really convenient because they have multiple places that have a lot of computers. There wasn't a day where I couldn't go on the computer. One of the downfalls is the wifi. Wifi is easily accessible only to students because we each have a student ID number and password that allows us to get it. But while roaming around campus, some areas are really weak and some don't even receive signal at all. Another is the laptops. The laptops haven't been upgraded and so have the features in it such as Microsoft Word.

Nothing really outrageous, but I love how Seattle Central has those random events out on campus such as movie nights, banquets, concerts, and awesome play productions. Its nothing different from some schools, but as a new college student, I thought it was awesome because I didn't think college would be as active entertainment wise.

This school is a pretty resourceful, especially for a Community College. From what I heard, this school has really outstanding programs and majority of the people I know attended Seattle Central. Most of the teachers there are very friendly and helpful as well. Almost all of the teachers I've had were really flexible with their schedule when it comes to students needing help outside of the classroom. Although it lacks some benefits such as dorms or rooms that students can rent. Some of us have hectic class schedules throughout the day, so it'd be nice to have a room to chill in for a couple of hours instead of going all the way back home. Also, applying for classes can be hard as well. Seattle Central has a lot of classes but not enough for students to get by. This is because Seattle Central doesn't have enough teachers for certain classes and it really effects students trying to finish their associates in such. That's just a few of the downfalls in Seattle Central. Other than that, I believe its a really good school!

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid process is easy to follow. Also, at the end of the taxable year sccc has a scholarship available (if you qualify) to receive back some of the amount you or who ever is paying for your school money back.

Student body is extremely diverse. The student body is very involved in the school, and most people seem to really enjoy the atmosphere there. I really like that there's people from all over the world at my college. It gives you a different aspect on things.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Financial aid took a while to go through but overall they provide a lot of good classes and professors so it's worth the money. The tuition is a little bit higher than other community colleges but I really enjoy the location so It's worth it.

My school offers extra activities in the activities center like specific classes and massage. I think that's a really good thing to have because you can choose to do more things that interest you.

The Career Center at Seattle Central does do a lot of different jobs. There are advisors who can help you with resume, cover letter, and mock interview. There are also many resources that you can check out for job opportunities. They also hold career fairs sometimes for students to meet with employers.

Overall, Seattle Central has a fairly flexible academic design. This quarter, I am doing my internship and taking one calculus course. My schedule works out pretty good. I am doing fine on both my intern position and my class. Most of the credits from Seattle Central are transferable to other schools, which is very helpful.

The only thing that i can find is the location of sccc. Its right in Capitol hill and just 7 minutes away from downtown, where you can always no be bored.

I've never been to the gym but i spend most of my time in the computer lab alot. Even though many of my friends complained that the lab has been usually overwhelming, but most of every time i need to do something at the lab, there's always alot of spot to choose from!

my school consists of people from different backgrounds and interests and provides a lot of diversity. i love going there because it offers me a wide range of people i can learn from. Also it is not racist or prejudice at all and helps anyone who needs it.

These sources are there, but not fully promoted. We have no sports teams so campus life can be pretty boring.

My school has many events, but they are not always advertised. Resources are not advertised, but once you find out about them, they are great resources.

I'm only in my second quarter, and I've had some excellent, engaging teachers and some really terrible teachers.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
