Seattle Pacific isn't in a prime location for an easy bite when you step off campus; there are only a few choices within walking distance. If you're feeling ambitious and don't mind a longer jaunt, Fremont is within range. The best option would be to hop on a bus or drive a short distance to access infinite opportunities for great grub. Seattle has every genre of cuisine (including vegetarian options), but, by far, Seattle has the most variety in the category of Asian food. You will never be more than five minutes away from restaurants that serve pad Thai, Sushi, or pho.

There are also many restaurants on the waterfront Downtown that serve excellent seafood, like Ivar's Salmon House or Cutter's, but these places tend to be a bit pricey, even if they are deserving. These spots may be better for when your parents come to visit and foot the bill. One of the great things about Seattle is that often atmosphere is considered just as important to a meal as the food. Some of the best advocates of that partnership include Mama's Mexican Kitchen Downtown, Mamma Melina's Italian restaurant in the University District, and the B & O Expresso in Capitol Hill.
