Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Part of your education is being around people from different walks of life, and no place is better for that than Seton Hall, one of the most diverse campuses in the country. The social scene at Seton Hall is very trendy and fast-paced. The school is full of rich kids with all the money in the world to burn, and they normally burn it on clothes and bars. Seton Hall’s education is good depending upon your major. Business, nursing, computer science, and diplomacy are what make Seton Hall a Tier II school. The people you meet here, and the friendships that you form, make this school a community. After an academically-tough freshman year, the only thing that kept me from transferring were the friends that I would miss. Another good reason to attend Seton Hall is its proximity to New York City, which is an endless bank of great internships, and possibly jobs. The Career Center on campus works very hard to obtain Seton Hall students positions in places like Wall Street, and as the saying about NYC goes, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

If you do come to Seton Hall, you should get involved with a group or organization. In high school, it was not cool to be in the Stock Market Club, but here, the kids who are in it might be the future millionaires, so find something you like or something that is orientated with your studies. Finally, balance your work and your play. Part of the professional world is based on people skills, and if you are cramped up in the library the whole time, chances are, you do not have the best social skills. On the other hand, if you do not know where the library is by junior year, then you need to seriously rethink the whole college thing.

I Love It

I love almost everything about Seton Hall. I love the size because it's not too big but you don't always see the same faces. My program is not too challenging but i know it will help me in my career. There are things to do on the weekend but can not be lazy. I love the parties. I've grown to like the greek life too. Friends have made my experience the best part!

You Will Miss Your Mother's Cooking BUT

No one can be your mother. The food is decent with a lot of choices. There are healthy choices but even worse there are a lot of unhealthy choices. The food does get repetitive but there is also the choice to cook your own meals, which is a nice change. There is also a coffee shop that serves amazing sandwiches. There are pirates bucks which you can use at certain restaurants and on campus at the pizza shop, Nathans, and salad bar.

Shufly Is a Savior

Seton Hall's campus is so small that there is no need for transportation on campus. For off campus there are buses to take you local places or the train to take you to New York or anywhere. SHUfly is our savior because it's a shuttle that will take you most places in South Orange and on the weekend, further.
