Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The guys are undeniably pretty boys who care more about their own looks than the girls do. The kids involved in the rap scene all look like they are trying to be 50 Cent’s younger brother. They wear hats three sizes too big with their brim not arched, and spend hundreds of dollars on throwback jerseys of sports heroes that they have never seen play. The girls, much like their male counterparts, look like designer billboards, and their wardrobe changes each month when something new comes out on Fifth Avenue. The shoe of choice for the ladies is the pointy-toed hooker boot with the three-inch heel, making it easier for the pretty boys to outrun them. The girls are really fake and materialistic. The quality of guy on their arm is just about as important as a fashionable bag, making high school flings seem “in” again.

In general, the guys and girls are extremely hot, but their beauty is, unfortunately, only skin deep. If you want to have a good time and be with the beautiful people, you have come to the right place. Understand that you may not find your
soulmate within the gates of Seton Hall.

Mix of Students

There are a variety of guys..the skaters, the nerds, the jocks (kind of like high school)..but most are nice enough. Girls are pretty but can often be rude and into themselves. I do however like how there are people of various religious and ethnic backgrounds.

Girls Are Average

There are few hot girls, a lot of unattractive girls. Simply put, there isn't an even distribution.

What kinds of relationships have you had since coming to school?

How would you rate the social scene on campus?

Facts

Social Scene

The social scene consists of everybody on campus piling into one fraternity house or bar, and hanging out in cliques. The jocks hang together, the frat boys hang together, and the sorority girls all stick together at parties. Then there are those poor souls at the parties who are unassociated and left to fend for themselves—do not become this person.

Hookups or Relationships?

Freshman year, there is no such thing as a relationship—do not even bother learning the guy's or girl’s last name, because it is not worth it. As students get older, couples start to pair off. If you think that someone is too good to be true, and you happen to be in your first two years at the Hall, they probably are. Anyone looking for long term relationships probably should stay away from frat parties, and stick to searching in classes and the cafeteria.

Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls

The Galleon Room is a good place to scope out the honeys; make sure to get some screen (IM) names. Since everyone at Seton Hall has a laptop, Instant Messenger is the way to communicate, and it is free and less formal than a phone call. For freshman, the events held by RA’s help to break the ice in the early going. But, when you want to settle down and meet some really cool, down-to-earth people, the only place to go is Walsh Library.

Dress Code

Sorry ladies, but Seton Hall is a trendy college where the only thing that matters is the size of your Coach bag. If you are looking to get noticed on campus, you can’t do it wearing sweats every day.

Dress Code
Guys – You can go for either one of two looks, but you have to fit the mold to pull off either. There is the seasonal-preppy look where students never wear the same thing twice. The other is the classic “I don’t care what I look like” look. This works only with a laid-back attitude and worn sandals. You
can do this successfully by never dressing up even when you go out to a club. This style is easy for anyone in a fraternity who just throws on a pair of jeans and their letters every day
of the week.

Girls – I am sorry ladies, but you are in a trendy college where the only thing that matters is the size of your Coach bag. You have to look good and sport whatever the latest female MTV VJ was wearing yesterday.
