Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The food off campus is very good, but in comparison to the cafeteria, your mother’s burnt meatloaf would taste like filet mignon. A block away from campus, there is a little strip where they have the best Chinese food in town, No. 1 Chinese. It is next door to the decent Village Pizzeria and possibly the best buffalo chicken in the world, Cluck-U Chicken. Get these three phone numbers and program them into your cell phone. Another key number to know is El Greco’s Pizza, which is a staple of many Seton Hall students’ diets, as they are one of the only places that will deliver until to 2 a.m. The other late-night place that delivers is called Yi-Fu. It is pretty much your only alternative on the nights where El Greco’s just doesn’t seem appealing.

The place where most Seton Hall students seek refuge from the cafeteria is right in the center of town—Hot Bagels Abroad. It is nicknamed “the other cafeteria.” The bagels and deli sandwiches are top-notch, and there is plenty of seating. As far as sit-down restaurants go, there are a couple jewels in South Orange. If you like all-you-can-eat options and are a fan of sushi, you should walk four blocks from campus to Haru, where they fused the two for under $20. If you meet that special someone and want to express it with your debit card, you can’t miss with Café Arugula, which is fine dining at its best. For any student afraid of buffets at the college, the South Orange community provides plenty of tasty choices for slightly more expensive meals. Although a student can’t spend every day eating in town, it is always nice to taste real food every now and again.

Oh Yeahh Food.

South Orange Avenue is known for it's many venues. It has so many strips of food stores, along with like a pharmacy and little spots to get some quick meals. It is down the street which is really convenient and some stores give a 10% discount if you are a Seton Hall student. The most used place is probably Cluck-U , which is the closest to the school. They have really great chicken .

South Orange , a Culinary Hotspot.

South Orange is a small yet quaint charming town. Within a 2-3 block radius one can dine at at leas 15 places.Places of all variety that is. Good quality, huge portions often. You will never go hungary. Luckily. a student ID will give you a discount. The Village Diner is a great place to eat after sporting events that end later in the evening. You can get light or heavy fare and even breakfast.
