Yes, there are parties, but most of them are off-campus.
I haven't gone to any parties, but I've definitely heard of some and heard people returning from them.

The nightlife at SU can be pretty exciting, although there are many downsides. Most people that are around on campus are younger than 21, so drinking is highly prohibited. The school usually will plan activities for students to participate in on campus, like "beer" pong tournaments in the basements of residence halls (real beer is not used). There are plenty of parties that students attend, but they are generally off campus, which means everybody has to carpool. Nightlife on campus is not too thrilling for students, but going to house parties and get-togethers off campus is where students usually go to mingle.
There are plenty of places to find bars in the area, especially in Old Town Winchester. There are average-priced drinks just like any other bar; however, there aren't any clubs in Winchester, so driving to D.C. can be a must. D.C. is a club-filled city, full of nightlife especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Undergraduates are also able to attend these nightclubs because they are mostly 18-and-up establishments (21 to drink).
