In Winchester, there are plenty of options for students to commute to school by living off campus. There are many apartment complexes that work with Shenandoah for student discount prices on monthly payments. When researching SU, people will find out that room and board is very expensive along with the school itself. So, in that case, moving off campus is a good idea if students or their parents are looking to save a few thousand dollars.

The quality of the apartments is average; they look like everyday apartments. They are not dirty or rundown. The complex is available for whomever wants to purchase a lease, and the complex has never reached capacity. The monthly dues are rather cheap. Considering SU has a very high boarding fee, these apartments do come out to be cheaper when calculating it over a nine-month span. When students move into these buildings, it is very convenient, as they are no more than 10 minutes away from the SU campus.
