The parking at Shippensburg isn't too bad. However, sometimes it is difficult to find a good parking spot and if you have to park in the lower lot, it's a long walk to the dorms. Also, the parking lot is relatively close to the frat houses, so you tend to get drunkards stumbling back to campus through the parking lot and they could potentially damage your car.

Parking for on-campus students is very easy, only $60 for the year. Commuting students have a pretty far distance to class. Still the campus is very small, so not much is needed. Parking spots are usually always available. Parking spots close to dorms are available for easier loading and unloading when arriving or leaving. A simple call to the police station for parking permission is very simple. Cars are not essential for on campus students, but is nice to have.

Parking on campus can be a hassle. Freshmen are allowed to have cars but the lot for residents in the furthest walk in the wintery cold. There are lots around residence halls, but you need to have a certain amount of credits to park there. Campus police love to give tickets.

There is parking on campus but the cost of a parking permit it $67 per year. For this 67 dollars, there aren't many commuter spots and those that are available are on the outskirts of campus and not close to academic buildings. There are many faculty and staff parking close to campus. There has been construction on campus and so the commuter and resident spots have been taken away and they've given more faculty staff parking. It can be very frustrating trying to find a spot.
