Wifi is available almost everywhere within the school's campus, printers are easy to use but not for free. The only way to print out something is to use school powered computers and not your laptops.

The facilities at SCC are actually really new and working in a good conditions. Only downsize is that the Computer Lab experience technical issues almost every week.

All the networks at my school work very well and are pretty effective.

So far, I think that the classes have been great. I transferred to Shoreline CC from Spokane Falls Community College and all of my credits transferred. Also, I thought that I would have to take a lot of boring basic classes despite my emphasis in film, but SCC has so many amazing film, cinema, and media courses that are available.

The professors were very involved with the students, and willing and available to help with any problems. The curriculum is very good quality in my opinion, and I have learned a lot by taking SCC courses. Also, registration is pretty simple, and the advisors are very helpful in finding the right classes for students.

I had never taken such a full workload online before, and I was a little nervous dealing with another online program from what I was used to. But the "Canvas" website was pretty easy to get used to, and the instructors were pretty clear in communication. All instructors were interactive with the students, especially in the discussion boards. The workload was hard to keep up with for me, but I am not sure if that's because of the instructors or just because I do better when my classes are in person.

Honestly, it's hard to give SCC a score at this point since I spent the last quarter online and won't be physically attending until the fall. But from what I could gather from my online courses and my campus visit, I'd say that Shoreline CC is a pretty good school. There is so many quality programs such as nursing and film. The staff is easy to get in contact with and is happy to assist any student. The instructors are the same as well. Also, when visiting Seattle, as soon as I mentioned Shoreline CC to a stranger, they would always put in a good word for the college whether it be because they attended or because they have just heard good things about it.
Since I'm majoring in film, the film programs are very important to me. When I visited the college and took a tour, I saw the equipment they had for the film programs and was very impressed with the quality products they had.

I am currently enrolled in the phlebotomy program. The curriculum is very stimulating and every week, students are able to perform procedures by hand to gain practical experience. The best part of the program is a month-long internship after initial training. Students are able to interact with real patients in medical centers and labs.

The students are overall very friendly and approachable. There is a diverse population ethnically and academically who are studying many various of topics. It was easy making friends in a small classroom setting.

There are two wireless networks at school: public and student use. It is sometimes difficult to access the student wireless on campus. Printing is easy and quick and is charged from the student ID card.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Shoreline Community College's financial aid application is very easy and quick to complete. The office notifies students within a week if they qualify for loans or grants. Some programs that are shorter than one year do not qualify for financial aid.

Shoreline Community College is well known for their gymnasium and several academic programs such as automotive, medical lab tech, nursing, dental, and music. The library and computer lab is located in the heart of campus, which is very convenient.

Shoreline Community College is statistically the smallest community college in Washington State accounting the number of enrolled students. Because of the small class size, I enjoy the personalized help instructors have to offer to each individual student.

If you know more or less what you want to study, the school makes it really easy to follow a straight path to your goal. The majority of my classes have been geared towards preparing me for my major. Very helpful degree planning.

Depending on how the teacher utilizes the online class it can be either a smooth transition from traditional classes or a real pain.

The financial aid department could do a better job in conveying all the steps needed to apply for financial aid and better guide you through the process and all of your options.

Campus in general is laid back, nicely landscaped. However some of the buildings are showing their age and some buildings are underutilized.

A mixture of Asian students and lower working class people. Generally a decent mix of people, though some act as though they're still in high school.

The student body at Shoreline is fairly diverse. There are a lot of kids fresh out of high school, and a very large number of Asian exchange students. I always felt a little out of place because I am considered to be a "non-traditional" student, but that was my own personal thing. It is a very accepting place to go to school.

Shoreline has a great range of facilities. From a nice sized gym to the theater and library, there is something to fit every need. Computers are easily accessible throughout campus and there is always a quiet place to sit and read.

The Shoreline Campus is excellent. It has a wonderful, classic Seattle feel. Spread out over hills, with trees all around, it is simply beautiful. The common areas are very well laid out and give lots of space for students to study and hang out. I had no idea that so many students took advantage of the common areas as community colleges until I came to Shoreline.
