about the only thing to do in Rome on some weeks is eating out. Though we don't have many particularly ethic or health conscious places variety is not an issue. about the only businesses that consistently come into Rome are recusants.

our financial aid department is caring and patient. they are diligent and work hard to get things done in a timely manner.

I didn't really have any thoughts on Greek life until I rushed this year. This is as a junior. Now that I am in a sorority I can see what the Greeks do for our campus and community.

I think that living off campus counting the same as room and board on campus is ludicrous. you no longer have the advantage of proximity to the meal plan (that is still required for "residents") and classes. there is not enough housing for every "resident" to even live on campus; especially considering the stricter standards of who can commute.

It seems as though the printers are always messed up or the wireless is not working, or is working at a snails pace. I never bother with IT because whenever they are called to help in a CLASSROOM FULL OF STUDENTS WHO PAY TUITION AND HAVE IMTIED CLASS TIME it either seems like a huge hassle or an impossible fix. on a lighter note; though some computer labs may always be full there are many on campus. though many students complain about the new quota for printing; I am fine with it. Many institutions offer NO free printing, and 450 pages is a big deal. the only people who would actually suffer from this limit are science majors.

most of the policies regarding drug and alcohol use are for the general safety of the students. However, if students wish to do things that are legal in a safe environment then I say let them. College students do not relish being handed ultimatums and will rebel against them. The nature of policy in this should not condone, but at the same time offer support and understanding.

The racial break down doesn't seem all that diverse, and it seems like most of the "diversity" comes from scholarships. As for political, sexual, or religious views; I don't nose into other peoples believe system as it is a deeply personal matter, and sensitive to many.

Parking price is average for an institution but the fee of 25 dollars a parking violation is a tad unfair. Also I got a tow notice when I had to bring my parent's car to school (as mine was at the shop) and they(campus safety) were not open after my car broke down and before my first class to get a temporary pass. Some of the closest parking was taken away to be used by faculty and staff, and the lot is rarely half full. where as if I'm unlucky enough not to beat the crowd I have over five minutes of walking. The poor residents are not to park in commuter parking and I am of two minds about this. The shuttle drivers are jerks and are never on schedule, so if someone misses the shuttle or it doesn't show up when it should they can have a ten minute walk on their hands. however, when residents park in commuter parking that can use up all the spots "near" the top of the hill. regardless of were you park there is a lengthy and steep climb up to classes. My University must be the least Handicap accessible in the U.S.

I very much enjoy the campus grounds and student unions. that being said the classrooms are outdated, and often under sized. As a commuter I do not have a meal plan, and I thank God and my parents for that; I have eaten in the cafeteria before and it is not an activity I relish. Most of the professors are exceedingly helpful and kind, and the sense of community amongst students is comforting. I am sad that one of the selling points when I entered has been revoked. That piano practice rooms used to be open to any major and now it is exclusive to fine arts majors is mildly depressing.
