There are lots of parking options in and around Simmons. For example, you can get a parking pass and park on campus free. You can part around the school right next to the dorms or next to the academic campus. Also, there are lots of parking spots around the school.

Simmons is in the Fenway area of Boston very near Harvard Medical School. It's Boston, teaming with students from just about everywhere with plenty of outside activities to take advantage of as well as nightlife. It's a great city!

The printing system at Simmons has significantly improved in the past year or so. It's very easy since you tap your ID card and then print whatever you need! There are computer labs and printing stations in every building on campus and in each residence hall. The computers are nice and easy to use. I have my own laptop which makes it easy to take notes in some classes, and most people have their own personal laptop. I think it definitely helps, but it's not imperative.

I can really only speak for science classes and the French department at Simmons. The French department is small, but very interested in giving students a great education. Science classes are rigorous, but well worth the money. I'm majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics and minoring in French, and I am very pleased with both programs at Simmons. Simmons is strong in sciences, but also has many great liberal arts programs.

There is a lot to do and see in Boston. Fenway Park and our beloved Boston Red Sox are a few short blocks away from the Simmons Campus. Boston is known for its sports and there is always a place to go route on Boston/New England teams. Great restaurants and bars are everywhere to be found: the Back Bay, the South End, Cambridge, Fenway, Brookline, the water front, and more. The Museum of Fine Arts is a five minute walk from Simmons, and the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum is right next door. Boston is home to a number of other wonderful museums and art galleries. Students are very welcome in Boston as it is home to numerous colleges and universities. If students are looking to be in a friendly city, Boston is the place to be.

The School of Management at Simmons College has a brand new, beautiful building on campus. It includes two case rooms that are designed specifically for case discussion, and a number of small study rooms that are ideal for group meetings and projects. All professors and program directors are located on site.

Simmons is in the Longwood Medical Area in Boston, which is a heavy traffic area. It can be very difficult to find parking and parking in garages is very, very expensive. Fortunately, Simmons offers parking at a rate to students in its garage under the School of Management. However, it can be difficult to find a space on days when the Trustees are meeting or when there are big events going on. I try to park at meters on the streets around campus. This has become more difficult as meters have been taken away due to reasons unknown to this writer. However, I typically am able to catch an open spot before my night classes. Mind you, I am a working professional in addition to being a part-time MBA candidate so my experience may be different than a full-time or undergraduate student.

Plan to attend an MBA showcase if you are applying to the School of Management to earn your MBA. This provides you with a lot of useful information that is given to you by the leaders of the school as well as the opportunity to hear from a panel of students and to participate in a mock class where you read a brief case and participate in a case discussion. It is a great way to get a feel of the people in the program and what classes will be like. You will get the opportunity to see and speak with other prospective students. The Admissions Officer I worked with answered all of my questions and was available for an individual meeting when requested. The online application was similar to other schools to which I applied. As with any school, be able to articulate the skills and experience you will contribute to your peers and the discussion in the classroom.

I am in the Simmons College School of Management, which offers an MBA program designed for women. The course integrates gender, diversity, and social responsibility into all of its courses as opposed to other schools that offer these important topics as elective courses. The professors are very committed and accessible to students. The program directors are amazing and seem to respond to my needs at all hours of the day and night! I have built an incredible new network of working women who are very brilliant. The atmosphere is competitive, yet collaborative and supportive. We challenge each other and also want to see one another succeed. I recommend this program to any woman looking to earn her MBA; you will not be disappointed.

Guys & Girls:
Very homogenous. It is a lot of the same kind of people everywhere without much diversity.

The faculty at Simmons are very strict when it comes to school work, but I believe that they just want us to succeed. They are very relaxed when it comes to who sleeps in our dorms. They respect our visitors and do not take their ID's.

Boston has everything! There are many restaurants and shopping centers. Simmons College is right by Fenway Park. There are also many museums. The people in Boston are acceptive of all races and cultures. The City is beautiful and has lots of intertainment.

Our school is in the middle of Boston so it is very hard to find parking. Most people use public transportation.

There are many computers in the library for everyday use. There are also computer labs in the dorms. There is wifi all around campus.

im not involved with the atheletic program as much as I'd like to be but a majority of students are. Profesors are engaged with the atheletes in particular as long as they ask. Our facilities are nice and are being improved. IM's are very popular here as well for athelets and typical students.

Its a small enough school that you can tell who does what. security on campus is more concerned about your safety than they the use. however because it is part of there job if you have a joint, or alchohol in your hand they do enforce you dump it out and your get written up. On the flip side you can be noticably drunk and they'll drive you home and put you to bed no questions asked and it's a nice gesture of them.

Everything is really nice and reliable except for connectability to the internet sometimes.

Pretty good since they have financial aid counselors; however they hold on to your money for a very long time which causes problems particularly if you live off campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
