The teachers are really flexible here. They know a lot of students have families to support so they work with you the best they can.

There is a lot of diversity at my school especially age wise. In some of my classes I have people right out of high school and others that are up in their 60's.

What makes my school unique is the rich native american culture that is present here in almost everything we do.

I really don't know of any online courses that are available at my school.

SGU does not have a career center that i know of. If they do they should make it more available to student use.

I am a Lakota studies major. i have really had a hard time in that department because of poor advisors. I would have graduated this summer if it wasn't for the poor advising and the confusion with the constant changing of the chain of command. I would not recommend that department to any student thinking of attending SGU.

They have an okay library and the student center needs a lot more work to make it more student friendly. Also there needs to be more campus activities for students.

I wish alot of my professors would show up on a weekly basis for class.

Its okay the only problem is that the computers are also open to the public so when you have to type a paper or something a lot of time the computers are all taken, and its mainly by non students.

My school has an awesome Lakota studies program. It lacks though in how the department is run there is alot of miscommunication and a high turn over rate for department chair.

I chose this school because it's close to home and the classes are flexible. I can take a certain class one day or the other, and in the morning or in the evening.

At first I was nervous to start coming to school but after I got the hang of where my classes are, and got to know my teachers I realized its not bad at all. My nursing classes are very interesting to me and that's a very good thing!

There are job fairs available to the students to help them find potential future employers. I am in the LPN program, so there is always a need for nurses around here.

The instructors are great! They are so helpful and go out of their way to help you learn. The registration was fairly easy but could use a little bit more organization. There is rarely and overload of homework and the instructors are understanding if you didnt finish your work.

Sinte Gleska is a Native American school. The students are not the friendliest around here. Most keep to themselves, but will talk to you and help you if you approach them. They are hesitant to make friends with new students. Most are parents trying to get an education. Once you get to know some of them, they are very nice.
College Junior 2013-03-27T19:24:31Z
I am in the LPN program and my classes are what i expected. They arent too easy and if I am having trouble understanding, my teachers are more than willing to help me review. There is an average load of homework and grading is always fair. I like this school because the advisors are so helpful and go out of their way for you. Being a single mom, school is hard already, but Sinte has made it easier for me to attend school!

I havent really got to know very many of the students on campus, I just drive an hour an s half to school then go home afterwards. I've noticed most of the students are nice and outgoing though.

I started my nursing degree this year and so far have gotten all the help I've asked for and they're affective doing it. I was nervous about college but realize now it's not hard if you have the right help.

Work-Study is the most common here I say, other than the student council.
College Senior 2013-02-07T20:40:02Z

I was really nevous and a bit anxious when I had signed up for the two online classes because I have never tooken online classes before but once I gto started I got used to it pretty fast but geting ahold of my instructor to the clases was a bit difficult because I had questions I needed answers to with deadlines but the assignments were pretty good. I got to wrok at my own paste which was good i thought. Other than that eveything else was easy and I learned from taking them online courses.

I see students working for the college. They hire there graduates, but jobs are few or less in my field.
College Sophomore 2013-02-06T22:27:14Z
There is a gym to workout, the library is loaded with computers for student to access, activities here deal with a lot of culture and history of the native american indian.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
